  1. Bonemer just took a HBP to the head. Walked off on his own, but he's out of the game and presumably headed for a concussion check.
  2. Gregory Santos looked finally healthy in spring after being limited to just 7.1IP last year, but got off to an awful start this season. 5.14 ERA (2.29 WHIP) in 7 innings. 8 hits, 8 walks, and 0 (!!!) strikeouts in 36 batters faced before SEA optioned him to AAA last week.
  3. Schultz K's the side in the 3rd.
  4. Always funny to see a no hitter that isn't a shutout. Lots of offense kept it low pressure for the staff. Congrats to the combined efforts of Vail (UDFA), Arias (IFA), Jeffrey (FA, LAD 2021 15th rounder), and Yabbour (MiLB Rule 5). Pretty cool to see a ragtag band of unheralded guys get it done. C Weston Eberly a Sox 16th rounder.
  5. From BA's hot sheet chat:
  6. Kanny offense is so active on the bases, most SB in all of MiLB.
  7. 5 scoreless from Wikelman Gonzalez on 2 hits, 4BB, and 8K He leaves with a 3-0 lead
  8. Truly such a shame that there was absolutely nothing more Baltimore could have done to shore up their pitching coming into the season.
  9. Bergolla has been impressive
  10. Lucas Gordon has my attention. 6IP scoreless, 1H, 9K on 84 pitches.
  11. Fegan with the confirmation There was a relatively positive injury update for Lee earlier today, so I'm curious how they'll handle things.
  12. 12 straight baserunners for Kanny who now lead 14-7. Bases loaded for a 3rd time in the inning, still no outs, Silly stuff. Every batter in the lineup scored in the inning, 11 runs in total across two pitchers. 16-7 Kanny.
  13. So nice finally seeing how Schultz responds to having his mettle as a starter really tested. Loaded the bases in the 5th with a single and two walks, left them stranded with a K. Finished (I assume) with 5IP, 0ER, 5H, 2BB, 6K. 84 pitches!
  14. Kanny's 3-4-5 rounding into form, 2 hits each for Braden, Wolkow, and LMG today. Kannapolis have battled back from an early 7-0 deficit to take an 8-7 lead, still batting with no outs top 5.
  15. Barons win 4-1 with some extra inning heroics. Schweitzer looked good over 5 scoreless. Rain rescheduling means tomorrow is an absolutely packed 8 game slate, double headers for every affiliate headlined by Schultz/Smith for the Barons.
  16. If you only count non-divisional games, the Sox are a .500 team. And if you only count the first game of a home series, they're an unstoppable run scoring wagon with elite pitching to boot (28-2 over 3 games).
