  1. Braves fans probably have the same feeling based on how this series has been so far lol
  2. Fun night on the farm
  3. 3 HR in 13 innings, sheesh
  4. Lodise hits his first!
  5. Yeah, the first one wasn't really close
  6. Early going, but Smith's velo is up from his last start. Scoreless first with 1K. It's also his birthday 🎉
  7. Crushed
  8. Old friend Miguel Cairo
  9. Bonemer finally back in the lineup for Kanny at DH. Picked up where he left off with a RBI double in his first AB. Knocked in Ely Brown who just missed his first pro HR to about the same spot.
  10. Pair of Sox on the hot sheet: 10. Braden Montgomery, OF, White Sox Team: Double–A Birmingham (Southern) Age: 22 Why He’s Here: .500/.621/.864 (11-for-22), 7 R, 8 2B, 0 3B, 0 HR, 5 RBIs, 5 BB, 6 SO, 1-for-1 SB The Scoop: Over his first 12 games with Double-A Birmingham, Montgomery hit just .239/.286/.326. However, this week against Pensacola, he turned things around in a big way. He collected hits in all six games, including four multi-hit efforts. He reached base in more than half his plate appearances, limited his strikeouts and looks like he might be turning a corner. Despite above-average production at every level, Montgomery’s season has been at times uneven, as he’s shown less game power than expected. 17. Tim Elko, 1B, White Sox Team: Triple-A Charlotte (International) Age: 26 Why He’s Here: .391/.462/1.087 (9-for-23) 6 R, 1 2B, 5 HR, 10 RBIs, 2 BB, 4 SO The Scoop: Elko showed he could hit for power but didn’t hit for average or get on base in a brief 20-game stint with the White Sox. But in Triple-A, he’s been a terror for International League pitchers. Elko moved into second place in the IL in home runs this week with 24—one more than Samuel Basallo and Jose Rojas, and six behind Bob Seymour. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/ranking-the-20-hottest-mlb-prospects-hot-sheet-8-18-25/
  11. Sounds minor. No reason to push it up 9 at the time.
  12. Smart. They can't use another position player now, gotta burn a real arm.
  13. There's the routine double
  14. Braden, unfamiliar with standing at first base, stole second shortly after this to get back to more comfortable territory.
  15. Was listening to a game in a background yesterday where this came up in a broadcast interview, and the guy said the sunglasses guys wear to bat are different colors/filters specifically to account for being able to still see the ball.
  16. Reds anti-sweep magic defeats Brewers devil magic in 10. Reds the only team yet to be swept this year
  17. He needed this one, hope it gets him going.
  18. Kanny manager Chad Pinder aired out his frustrations with the crew after some close calls in a 1 run loss last night and got ejected before first pitch.
  19. Kanny lost late, but 12th rounder Ely Brown is 10-33 to start his pro career with just 4K. All singles though.
