  1. Kay being at 96-97mph is nice, he was a ~94.5mph guy last time he was in MLB.
  2. Austin Hays, Cubs killer? Both of his spring HRs are here at Sloan.
  3. Casual 1.500+ OPS for EQ, who also leads Cactus League in RBIs.
  4. Mune taking BP with Samurai Japan. Sounds like they might have him and Okamoto might end up playing their projected MLB positions after all which seems smart. They have enough defensive concerns in the OF as is.
  5. Seems like he'll be ready for game action soon
  6. Some noticeable improvements on the basepaths so far this spring
  7. Quero is so good. Another RBI, this time a double.
  8. Fedde done after 2IP. No hits, one walk, 2K. Dominguez in for the 3rd
  9. Quero is a run producer. Sends 100mph back up the middle for an RBI single
  10. 105.6 EV for Gonzo, but to exactly the wrong spot
  11. Wouldn't happen here 💦 (Also, they couldn't give him the courtesy of "lower body injury" or just "an infection"?)
  12. Still undefeated in the televised games, which bodes well for the regular season
  13. The trade was primarily for Sandlin. Any value from Hicks or the PTBNLs is a bonus, though I do expect Hicks does well enough back in a pen role to get flipped.
  14. I guess primarily the look? One of them compared it to a woman that he'd turn around and leave if he saw her waiting at a blind date...which is potentially more revealing about him than the ballpark.
  15. Make that 9 up and 9 down for Cannon.
  16. Reds radio crew is apparently quite unimpressed by Camelback Ranch. Cannon is apparently unimpressed by the Reds batters, as he retires them in order. Sox return the favor and Lee, Peters, Meidroth go in order too. Antonacci in for Chase, Bergolla in for Colson, Dustin Harris in for Beni on defense. Official word on Acuna is that he left with a cut above his eyebrow that needed to be stitched up. Strikeout and two flyouts for Cannon's second inning. A lot more 4seam in the mix today, and it got him a 6 up/6 down outing.
  17. Leasure's velo was a bit down but he puts up a 0. Single to left, nice catch in right by Peters on what sounded like a would-be XBH, weak grounder, routine flyout. Vargas flyout and then Colson finally gets the Sox on the board with a HR to right center. Nice hard hit single (107 EV) for Acuna, and then Beni just misses tying the game with a deep flyout to left. Acuna steals second but gets scratched up on the slide and leaves the game. Kelenic groundout ends the frame still Reds 3-1.
  18. Hicks still throwing 100, but gave up a 2 run shot on a splitter to Bleday after a grounder to Colson that was too slow to turn two on. Reds 3-0. Decided to stick to the heat in the next AB to K Stewart. Peters GO, Meidroth flyout, Murakami liner off the end of the bat to left for a single (on a 96mph fastball from a LHP). Vargas worked a full count, but Mune got picked off pushing his luck to get a good lead before the payoff pitch.
  19. Sal Stewart ambushed the first pitch of the second for a HR to put the Reds up 1-0. Walk, popout, lineout, flyout to finish Martin's day. Velo was up a little from last season's averages. Colson 8 pitch groundout, Acuna hustles out an IF single, Beni stays hot with another hard hit that Acuna speeds to third on. Kelenic K, Lee groundout strands runners at the corners. Hicks in to pitch the 3rd.
