  1. Hey, Shooter! Wanna go to sizzler and catch some grub? My treat!
  2. If the Sox move: Can't root for the Cardinals, because Cardinal fans are Blues fans. Can't root for the Brewers, because Brewer fans are Packer fans. I still hate the Twins with a passion, and I probably want to stick in the AL. So I'll have to go shopping. West coast teams are out of the question.
  3. If they trade Schultz we riot. But knowing how this org is run, it is completely possible that they sell now and then turn around this winter and flip these guys for other players.
  4. I'm skeptical of Montgomery, Gonzalez and Quero as impact players, but I think they have a good chance to be solid MLB starters for a while. Schultz is the one guy I'm excited about as a potential impact player.
  5. This is a lost year for Monty and I don't think that he's gonna be a star unless he finds more power. It's August and he's gonna get what, one month in Birmingham? Both Monty and Gonzalez could be a solid MI for a while though. Out of all of their prospects, Schultz is probably the guy with the highest ceiling. I don't disagree with you on the timeline and Montgomery is only slightly ahead of the rest.
  6. Sox have Quero now too, he belongs with Montgomery and Schultz. Also reports are that Gonzalez will stick in MI and he could be a fine 2B. Probably really solid, nothing spectacular. Ramos isn't too shabby either. There's a lot of pressure on these guys though. It's not completely destitute, but not good either and their best players are 2+ years away. I like what Shirley has done, Gonzalez wouldn't have been my pick this year based on who was available and everyone can split hairs on Crochet. I think Shirley is a massive upgrade on Sox scouting departments of years past. Even if some guys don't work out, I can't really argue with the philosophy much. I can totally split hairs with Paddy because Reyes and Erick Hernandez have been a disaster, though there's still time.
  7. Actually I forgot that he missed half the season, but the power outage existed before he got injured last year.
  8. Anderson always relied on bat speed and I think the natural aging process got him. I don't think Anderson is as much of a villain as the fanbase makes him out to be, he was very good for a while.
  9. I honestly don't think that Anderson and Moncada will ever be good again. They just lost all of their talent.
  10. Whenever Yoan gets a hit it looks a lot like that. He's turned into Madrigal with a worse hit tool.
  11. He looks like he's about to go into a funk though. Will be interesting to see what his final numbers look like this year.
  12. Cannon didn't miss a ton of bats in W/S, this shouldn't be a surprise. He has to come up with an out pitch.
  13. Well now is as good of a time as any to conduct that experiment. I wonder what his fielding metrics look like when there's a big enough sample size.
  14. I'm well aware, I haven't thought that in a while. I accepted he wasn't that good in 2021 but thought he could still be slightly overpaid until this year. 2022+2023 led me to finally give up on him as a hitter. Moustakas had more power than Yoan does now but is otherwise a very good comparison as a player and highly ranked prospect.
