Maybe I'm crazy but I don't think the trade sucks, because of how injured and bad Robert has been the last two seasons. People are still thinking of him as the young player with potential rather than the 28 year old who has combined for 1.9 fWAR over the last two seasons. He sucks now, it is what it is.

Things change during the season. Idk why they'd have a decision before the 2026 season has even been played. Sometimes players emerge and move up, and others have a bad season. I'd hope they do their due diligence and pick Cholowsky only if he's deserving. But this is the White Sox we're talking about.

With guys they do that for, it's usually around Memorial Day during the last year of their contract.

This summer, mostly because of the TV deal, I rarely watched a game. Once it was on tv, I still rarely watched a game. I had no idea who made the playoffs. I barely paid attention. If it wasn't because of this community, which I have been a part of for 20 years, Idk if I would have paid attention at all. I used to say that Baseball is your friend. No matter how much it pisses you off one day, it's there tomorrow to start anew. After years of being pissed, I have had enough. I have no intention of watching next year. I have already cut out the Bulls. Wake me up when there is new ownership and a deal to remain in Chicago.

I wish they would have stretched out Schultz before promoting him to AAA. Then they would have known he dropped a tick or two on a full starter's workload.
