  1. Since his fastball is only 90-91 MPH right now, i'm gonna say he'll lose his closer job.
  2. Figures we get a knuckleballer first time out...
  3. 20-16 since the beginning of interleague play. I've been keeping track.
  4. Shoney had a .312 OBP and a .640 OPS against him, pretty damn good (even better with the Sox's), plus his K/9 rate increased from 6.75 to 9.35 when he joined the Sox's. So Cooper obviously had a positive affect on him. Judging by those numbers his ERA should have been much lower (most likely a bad outing or two inflated his ERA). If he can match those numers as a starter he could have a season similar to what Buehrle has last year.
  5. Hey, if there's one thing Uribe can do is pick it. He does have some issues with his throwing (most of his errors come of bad throws), but errors are too highly emphasized on defense anyway. BTW, same goes for Jose, but to a lesser extent.
  6. I think people will be surprised, Scho pitched a lot better than his ERA indicates. His track record as a starter is somewhat terrible, but i just have a gut feeling he's do for a good season.
  7. Be careful what you wish for. If JR does sell (won't happen anytime soon), there's a good chance the team could be moved. Especially if the Cubs continue to dominate the Chicago market.
  8. I sorta have this feeling Rowand will kick some ass this spring. Him and Crede could very easily have big breakout seasons. I know some people are down on Aaron, but i feel he has all to tools to become a good CF.
  9. Wouldn't be great if Frank shows up tomorrow, looks at reporters and says "I'm ready to play some ball". If that happens (it won't) i'll take it as a sign and start saving for playoff tickets.
  10. A slim Carlos Castillo? I refuse to believe that. BTW, i hope Koch has his s*** back.
  11. LOL, Georgie will go crazy when the Yankees fail. There's just too much pressure now from them to succeed. I say ALCS, they won't get further than that. BTW, :fthecubs
  12. Ditto, a true Sox's fan needs to have a irrational hate for the Cubs.
  13. Different situation, i don't feel like explaining arbitration so i'll just leave it at that.
  14. Frank Thomas, this way back in 2002.
  15. The Boston rumors have Trot Nixon coming our way (i think), i'd call that a fair trade.
  16. Yeah, but there's a difference when you trade someone for fair value or just plain give them away for s***. I don't doubt for a second KW wants to get rid of Frank, but if he doesn't get fair value Frank isn't going anywhere.
  17. See this is what i'm talking about, only a very stupid GM would let his personal feelings make his decisions for him. I believe Kenny is a little smarter than that and would put team success over his personal goals.
  18. Like who? Mariotti, he's a hypocrite. He'll b**** and whine about Frank, but if the Sox's would really trade him, he'd b**** and whine about that. Infact most of the media are hypocrites and no matter what they say now, if Frank really was traded they'd make it out into another "white flag" trade.
  19. You don't really believe that do you? Maybe if the deal was fair or in the Sox's favor, but not for Perez.
  20. Oh come on, you people make KW sound like a complete dumbass. Granted he's made some bad moves, but he's not about to trade one of the greatest players in Sox history for s***, the media and fans would have his head and he knows it.
  21. Let's at least give KW some credit. He's not gonna trade Frank for Perez.
  22. Santana had a bone chip removed from his left elbow. Nothing major, he should be 100% for ST.
  23. Miller and Jackson might be too much, but i think Miller (potential ace) and Perez (quality starter) is fair for both sides. You don't get a potential ace with Jackson, so Miller would have to be involved for me to be OK with any Dodger trade.
  24. If we deal Frank KW better hold out for Miller and Perez, nothing less.
