  1. If Reed can somehow put up a .400 OBP without a AVG in the .330-.340 range or increasing his power numbers to at least have a .460+ SLG%. He'll be a truly amazing player, since right now only one player in all of baseball has a .400+ OBP and less than a .476 SLG% (Bobby Higginson).
  2. Bellhorn is a uniqe player. He takes way too many pitches (mostly because he's a bad hitter). Reed can hit and if he see 2 or 3 strikes in a at bat he'll swing, Bellhorn won't (which is why Bellhorn will probably strike out 150+ times if he get's the AB's). As for Reed's walk totals, i don't believe ML pitchers will be afraid to go after him, since he'll be primarily a singles hitter.
  3. I just don't think he can walk enough to have a .400 OBP. He's gonna see a lot more strikes in the majors. If he can hit in the .315 range i can see a .370 type OBP, but .400? That's a lot of walks for a guy with little power and slightly above average speed. Hey, i hope i'm wrong and Reed hits .350 and makes me look like a dushbag, but for now i have my doubts.
  4. This situation would have been avoided with better planing. If they had decided two weeks ago Arine would be brought to start, his slot in the rotation would have been adjusted to match his start in Chicago. Seems to me like the Sox are always making last second decisions with their prospects. The kid is probably nervous as hell and throwing off his usual rest period probably won't help him feel any better.
  5. Your probably thinking of the NHL, not even God can save them now...
  6. Wow, Piston's had that game. When Shaq had the ball with about 10 sec i would have fouled the s*** outta him.
  7. I just think people are making him sound like an superstar in waiting, while all i see is a solid major leaguer. When Reed does make it to the majors i expect him to be a .280-.300 type hitter with some pop and speed (10 HR's, 30 2B's, 20 SB) and a decent OBP (.350ish). A solid player, but not a star.
  8. Ozzie's managing this past week has been rather crappy. But at least he gave up on Koch, so i'll overlook today.
  9. It was still the wrong decision to leave Jackson in for the 9th. He didn't have it today and letting him pitch to Thome is just asking for trouble.
  10. Seriously, who the f*** keeps making these f***ed up decisions to pitch these guys for an inning or two and then pitch them on short rest. Completely retarded IMO.
  11. IMO he was way overrated coming into this season, but for now i'll buy the injury excuse.
  12. If Wille would learn how to dive head first and read the pitcher better he could steal 60 a year. But yeah, we gotta cut down on the steal attempts.
  13. Kenny has a choice to make; does he give in and give up Borchard now and get Garcia for two extra months, or does he wait and see if he can get Garica cheaper in late July? Lots of choices...
  14. I'm kinda surprised Mags is having surgery. My bro had a torn meniscus and he was up and running after about 3 weeks without surgery. I'm guessing their must be different levels of tears.
  15. People should also keep in mind the Sox's will see a big revenue increase next season from the new sports network. After it's all said and done they could be making $25M+ more next season.
  16. Their both stuck on bad teams that don’t really have much going for them right now. I wouldn't be surprised if both Sabathia and Sheets have quietly expressed their desire to be traded. But yeah, it would have to be one hell of a deal to get one of those guys.

Went back and watched yesterday's game and Koch actually hit 99 MPH on one pitch. Maybe the gun was a little fast, but i'll take 97 MPH too.
  18. Yeah, but he was pretty good agaist us last year.
  19. Just to point a few things out... White Sox have 258 runs scored (1st in AL, 1st in MLB) 65 HR's (1st in AL, 2nd in MLB) .282 AVG (3rd in AL, 5th in MLB) .817 OPS (2nd in AL, 3rd in MLB) Who cares what a poll says, numbers don't lie (ok, sometimes they lie, but not this time)
  20. Since Shoeless Joe get's disqualified (for obvious reasons). My pick: Thomas.
  21. Big break for Buehrle, hopefully he has a few quick innings.
  22. Buehrle has been throwing a lot of pitches out of the zone (some looked like strikes). He keeps this up and he won't last past the 6th inning.
  23. Well, the two errors were made by guys who wouldn't be there if Rivas and Mientkiewicz were healty. But hey, s*** happens...

AJ is a jackass, that's all you gotta know...
  25. Yeah, he can't be traded until June 15th (I might be off by a few days), so at least KW still has some time to think things throught.
