Wright and Cotts Pitched Well Today
As good as Cotts was yesterday I don't think he has much of a chance to make the team. Ozzie seems to like Wright a lot, and the Sox's want to hold onto Grill, so he's a good candidate for a bullpen spot. I think the Sox's staff is pretty much set.

Wright vs Grilli?
I still say Rauch comes out of top...

Monday's Line-Up
Plus, Mags had a s*** load of DP last year. Not something you want out of your #3 hitter (or your #4). Frank > Mags, for now.

Uribe with a triple. He's hit the ball hard in his first two AB's.

2 ER's in 28 IP, that's a 0.64 team ERA . I LIKE!!!

I'd hate to be Ozzie right now, it looks like he's gonna have a hell of a time picking out his pitching staff.

2 ER's in 26 IP, not a stat you see very offten, especially in ST.

Rauch and Wright have to be the favorites for the 5th spot at this point. Maybe a slight edge to Rauch, since Wright might be more valuable in the pen.

Grilli with two unimpressive innings. He better get his s*** straight, guys like him need to throw lights out everytime to make the team.

What the hell?
No, a B game is when two teams agree to play a "unofficial" game. Probably on a back field.

What the hell?
They played a B game. Those games don't count as real ST games, but it's still a baseball game.

Who do you want to see....
Whoever earns it, right now it's gotta be Wright.

That's why they pitch, thank god for the DH.

Rooney said Ozzie told him Koch in only throwing 90-91 MPH, but they feel he'll build velocity throughout the spring.

Pretty good inning for Koch, hopefully he get's some of his velocity back and keeps the 1-2-3 innings coming.

Billy Koch Saves
Since his fastball is only 90-91 MPH right now, i'm gonna say he'll lose his closer job.

Overall White Sox vs cubs record
20-16 since the beginning of interleague play. I've been keeping track.

What can we expect from our #4 starter?
Shoney had a .312 OBP and a .640 OPS against him, pretty damn good (even better with the Sox's), plus his K/9 rate increased from 6.75 to 9.35 when he joined the Sox's. So Cooper obviously had a positive affect on him. Judging by those numbers his ERA should have been much lower (most likely a bad outing or two inflated his ERA). If he can match those numers as a starter he could have a season similar to what Buehrle has last year.

Back up Third baseman
Hey, if there's one thing Uribe can do is pick it. He does have some issues with his throwing (most of his errors come of bad throws), but errors are too highly emphasized on defense anyway. BTW, same goes for Jose, but to a lesser extent.

I think people will be surprised, Scho pitched a lot better than his ERA indicates. His track record as a starter is somewhat terrible, but i just have a gut feeling he's do for a good season.
