The Sox are terrible. They need every prospect they can get and have to hope that less than half of them actually pan out. Position prospects hopefully, since their entire lineup is devoid of any talent outside of one player.

Exactly. It’s called moment in time fluffing. You can do it with a lot of crappy players when they get two or three hits in a game that juice up their crappy numbers a bit.

This isn’t true at all. I just don’t think the Sox are getting back a haul for him due to his lack of history in doing this. He was one of Getz’s few good acquisitions. Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to give Getz a nice golf clap for it at the end of his history-making season.

He won’t keep it up. Just like Sheets, they go on short hot streaks and get their numbers up and then they get cold for even longer and their numbers drop back down again. They are simply bench players.

He really is an awful fielder. The Cubs really should have shopped more for a legit 3B and just put Morel at DH. Madrigal was never going to be the answer but they didn’t want to spend resources on a 3B because of their 3B prospect Matt Shaw.

Neither of us know if the Sox did this. That news never came out, only that their offer was higher than the Phillies’. At the end of the day, get back to me when the Sox sign a Wheeler over a Keuchel or a Harper over a Benintendi. The Sox are always a day late and a dollar short. And you can’t spend a dollar if you only have 50 cents. ?
