  1. It’s pretty obvious at this point that a top 20 prospect was never going to happen, from any interested team.
  2. I would hope Getz trades him to a team that needs bullpen help sooner rather than later.
  3. Okay, Zavala saves the deal. One more player to go.
  4. Return looks mediocre so far. No position players so far for a team that can’t draft, develop, or sign them.
  5. Definitely quantity then. I won’t be surprised if Thorpe is the highest rated prospect in the package.
  6. Balta may still be right as well, no? Thorpe is #85 on MLB’s top 100.
  7. Did you think it wasn’t already dead, even with Cease in the rotation? Did you even pay attention to the other moves Getz made this offseason?
  8. Fegan, the only media guy that acts like a Sox fan.
  9. At least we don’t have to sweat Cease getting injured or pitching poorly until the trade deadline now. Hopefully the return is solid.
  10. After seeing what Ridley got paid at age 29, I’m taking whatever WR falls to #9, whether it’s Nabers or Odunze. Give Caleb some good weapons to work with — Moore, Nabers/Odunze, Kmet, Everett, and Swift.
  11. You will end up being right.
  12. I thought it was close because Cease even admitted in his postgame interview that Grifol talked to him about the recent trade rumors.
  13. Just wait until Borchard gets called up! We don’t need Rowand, we have Brian Anderson in CF! We are going to have Gordon Beckham playing 2B for the next ten years!
  14. After last night, I was all hopeful that a trade would go down today but this sure seems like more of the same. ?
  15. Apparently, Poles is fine with adding cheap fringe starters/backup OL like Bates and Pryor. If Caleb gets destroyed behind this OL, we will know who to blame. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/bears-sign-offensive-lineman-matt-pryor
  16. Hasn’t DeJong been good with the bad this Spring? Not that I expect him to hit in the regular season. If you are referring to his defense this spring, I have no idea.
  17. Yep, gotta have that veteran bench.
  18. Well, I didn’t see when the date of his appointment with the surgeon is from the NY Post article. It could be that they are assuming 1-2 months of rest right now as the best case scenario but his appointment could be sooner rather than later and the doctor could recommend surgery, which may override the 1-2 months of rest.
  19. Dum dum dum dummmmmm. So basically, he could be out for the season if he ends up requiring surgery after the appointment.
  20. Get ready for the Sox to prove different.
