  1. Colas has struggled for sure. Though at least better than steel walker! Not sure if you heard this story, but I think maybe keith law mentioned it once? Anyways, apparently one of the senior scouts said he would quit if the sox passed on steel! thought he was an allstar! The only way to get over that is probably to take a spin in a v8 Jeep Grand Cherokee and let it rip on the open road.
  2. Thanks for checking in on the Jeeps. Those are bad boys are in tip top shape. Sometimes thinking about those cars is like a full time job. I spend so much time with the cars, and then hours and hours reading this message board, I dont have time to do my other job! Wonder if anyone else feels that way, or if thats just me! But back to the thread at hand, anyone know who does the advance work for the sox these days? Just wanna show them some love!
  3. Is it just me or do the sox seem better prepared the last few weeks. I know Pham has helped a ton, but also wanna give some credit to the advanced scouts. Feel like they are doing a great job with the advanced scouting, getting our guys the info they need to compete. Has been nice to see things going better after the brutal start.
  4. Harold works for the sox? He always felt like more of a care salesman type to me!
  5. My bad! I guest i upset you. didnt mean to!
  6. GG thanks for sharing Harold. My sources are saying the same. They sent their top pitching guy in to go see him recently. well with a night like this i think im gonna take the soft top off the ol Jeep wrangler and go for a drive. DB
  7. Wait so you do work for the sox? Thats so cool, thanks so much for sharing info to us super fans! Hope everyone else is having a good day. Afternoons like this make me glad i went with the hard top wrangler
  8. GG Sitting here getting the tires rotated on the wife's Wagoneer and enjoyed listening to this one. DB
  9. GG appreciate you sharing the sox plan here.
  10. Are you saying @Harold's Leg Liftworks for the Sox? That would be insane!!
  11. Good Get (GG) We must be talking to the dawgs out there. Was getting my tires rotated this weekend on the ol Wrangler and heard the same chatter about Smitty here. Sox had their top hitting guy in to see him last week and he's a fan.
  12. Were you there? was planning on going but had to take my Grand Cherokee in for a tune up...Man those things leak oil.
  13. Wonder if the sox had anyone there?!?!?!?!?
  14. How do you think your top 5 compares to the Sox list? Do you think you see things similar to Mike Shirley and Garrett Guest?
  15. pretty cool that you have all this inside info. im trying to work my way into sources. Go Sox Go!
  16. and if preparation and discipline was able to prevent TJ than that would be great. It may prove to be the right strategy, and they might get something great for him at the deadline, but but to say its anything other than a massive risk is crazy talk. Similar to if I was selling my loaded Jeep Grand Cherokee for 80k, and someone came and offered 78k. I can wait for a better offer, but id sure be taking a big risk! need to be an experienced car guy to know when to hold, and when to just sell. I trust getz! but no doubt a bold strategy!
  17. Was talking to a guy i trust the other day. He said he though california was down these days. Can we be confident this guy is gonna get tested out west?
  18. they say first is possible! and its not just range, but range and hands. I doubt it as well, I picked him as one of my two downtown dominators this year.
  19. Colson to 1B...wowsers. If thats the case we need a defensive cordinator on the scouting side. Maybe bellichek comes in an consults? in prep for taking over the bears next year.
  20. Mayo in RF, Montgomery at 3rd, Boom Bang Thank you Man
  21. I hope he does well, just dont have him on the list of Downtown Dominators this year. I usually pick one pitcher and one hitter. I think people are sleeping on Montgomery. He can play third base well. If we had ten Dominators every year, it would be less prestigious
  22. Calling it now, Oppor and Montgomery are gonna be Downtown Dominators
  23. Not sure if anyone saw this but really hope the sox can start hanging onto their best scouts https://x.com/BNightengale/status/1748465644486492465?s=20 This man was a dynamo. And hes not the only one. Last few years they have lost some ELITE guys. St Urbain went to Toronto. Wechsler (the man responsible for Mr Montgomery((downtowns pick to click this year))) to Ball St, Gange to UWashingotn, Payne to Astros. Hope this isnt a trend and we stay with a top notch draft scout group. Lot of teams have guys who knows what good is, we need guys who know what ELITE is in this house. -Downtown
