  1. The vast majority of Sox fans they need to win back have no idea this story even exists.
  2. Colas liked some of her Instagram posts and maybe (?) commented on them. Not sure how that means he "dragged him into it" though.
  3. This has to be that minority owner flexing what little muscle he has. It’s the only thing that sort of makes sense.
  4. Not signing pitchers to long terms deal isn't a huge deal for me, as I think you should ride them in their early years and then let them leave. You just constantly need guys to take their place when the time comes. I'm more interested in making any positional guys who become very good stick around. First we have to make a few of them become very good.
  5. Buona is far superior now.
  6. It seemed liked those three developed fine. They were all good in the minors and came up "as advertised." They just couldn't stay on the field and then seemed to get lazy (allegedly).
  7. They for sure aren't resigning him if they are so scared of deferred money, which is being reported. They just won't beat other offers.
  8. Turner played 3rd only 13 times in the last two years, though.
  9. I don't know if coming to Chicago will help him not be thick, though. Food is too good.
  10. I love that Cubs reporters always report how the person wants to play for the Cubs. So insecure about it all. Also, sure he is a highly accomplished hitter, a lot of guys are accomplished hitters who can no longer do that at 40.
  11. I know you just want to paint this as worse as possible for the trade of...Gregory Santos, but a young guy a few years off at best getting TJ is not that big of a deal. It's just how the league is now with young pitchers.
  12. Dude you said "actual journalists" haven't said anything about it. How else was that supposed to be taken?
  13. I saw someone say they put a FV of 45 on him for now, and he was in the next 15 after the 100.
  14. Seems like a good guy to take a chance on. Hopefully they can get him right.
  15. Wait, do you not believe what is happening because only Fegan wrote about it? The guy who is probably the best sports journalist in town? And to say he isn't an "actual journalist" is pretty insulting to the guy.
  16. Outside of a good four year stretch in the early 2010s, not really much to show for it, though.
  17. That's not true at all. The actual real third option was he still had too much time left on his contract and would have been really hard to get actual value. Everyone would have lost their mind if they traded him for "less than" and no team would have given up the farm for him.
  18. You bring up McCarthy like they traded Tatis Jr when he was good.
  19. I guess I meant it was positive in a way that they actually had the highest bid on it. Also think it was entirely his wife not wanting to live in Chicago, if I remember correctly.
  20. Are you this interested in sources when it's a story that would be "negative" towards the White Sox? Jeez.
  21. It would be a very short term problem, I think. One of Meidroth/Ramos/Monty will be up fairly quickly.
  22. Yeah, I'm not saying the guys the Sox signed are going to be good, but they are better than those two currently are/will be.
  23. The guys they brought in are better than Anderson and Abreu.
  24. Vargas put on 20 pounds. Still holding out hope he can show something this year.
  25. If people think Gallo is washed than I don’t even know what Abreu would be considered.
