Signing Murakami the NPB player is an entirely different proposition from re signing the guy leading the MLB homeruns along with well above average on base abilities in term's of the risk scale in JR's mind, I would imagine. Hate to defend JR, though, so I will say he is horrible here.

He was also capable of pitching more than 3 innings 20 times a year. I'm glad you brought up Johnson though, because that is the career arc I have been advocating. Which would put Hagen in rotation in 2028-29 range

Nowhere near ready imo. He hasnt been stretched out nearly enough nor has his wildness been addressed enough. They should call up the year after he can pitch 140+ innings in the minors
