The White Sox can NOT GROOM players to hit. Never have, never will. We either draft or trade for natural talent or we're screwed. We traded Semien, and Tatis Jr, Turner, and so many others... NO IDEA what we had because we have ZERO IDEA what hitting looks like unless it's a Thomas, Konkero, Dye, Mags, Luzinski, Kittle, Allen, etc...

The Sox should 100% extend Crochet and Fedde. If what we "hear" they say is correct, they like it here. So make a core. Pitching looks insane coming up. (Only thing we're good at). Draft smart. We'll see. I don't think this should be 5 year thing like lots of guys say here. I think a couple good 2-3. With signs in a year. I spend most of my time watching the downstairs games - Cballs had a shut out, Barons are compete for a championship.... Those teams are really good. The top product White Sox are pathetic.

I really like this post. Curious what your take is. Personally - I think we keep getting pwned trading for offense vs pitching. EVERYONE who wins takes our pitching. And we haven't scored runs since 2006. Lots of REALLY good pitching shipped out and few runs come back. My .02, anyway.

Couple weeks ago, I was all about trading Crochet. Then we got 3 wins and went 14 innings to lose a sweep and it WASN"T the bullpens fault. The Sox do one thing pretty good - pitching. We can't develop SH** below to be impact; even if we draft or trade high (Moncada). Everything we touch for position is SH** since Frank and Mags (who was an armature FA). So, if we can't teach kids to hit when they come up, why not just focus on what we ARE good at and draft/develop pitching? Trade for the Dyes, and the Korkeros, and the Thomes, and everything else that scores? Stop denying what we are??? Right?? We're not the Braves or Orioles or Mariers. We are 100% COMPLETLY INCAPABLE OR TEACHING KIDS HOW TO HIT upstairs. But we churn out pitching....

This is a good post. They have EXCELLENT defense in CF, RF, 3B... can't hit, but at least they can defend unlike what Getz promised us.

Fedde might get you an A prospect. I wouldn't be interested in a damn thing the Sox have except Crochet. I think you're all nuts. Robert is worthless. I'd rather have Brian Anderson (things being equal; at least he's healthy). Eloy is s%*#. Vaughn is still running too hot and cold at severe levels.... If I'm a an actual baseball team, there's NOTHING I would want from the Sox but Crochet, PERIOD. Kopech is a physical phenom/stud but like SS2K5 says (and I agree), still a head case. Wouldn't touch him.

Bad baserunning, Robert should've been on 3rd on I think it was the 11th or 12th, next turd at bat would've scored him but he didn't advance as Schiffren for some reason is talking about what a "great runner" he is. LOL. Could've won this game 4 or 5 ways but they didn't and it sure as hell wasn't the bullpen's fault. Soroka was really good today.

I watch games like today and it makes me regret trash talking the bullpen. We flat out can NOT hit. No situational awareness, no skill. We got these sissy extra innings rules - start with a man on 2nd. So bunt, hit a deep fly ball if you're home team. You win. 4 innings and counting and completely incapable. Infuriating.

They should call me. Got more 'T' than both of 'em combined. Plus, I'll increase ticket sales among the Sox wives by 60% within 2 weeks.
