  1. Most likely a whole lot of nothing, considering my "valentine" (it's up in the air) has a band contest this weekend. She might be home late Saturday, but I'm not sure. I did send out three flowers to someone else who I like, and she said how nice it was for me to do that. Good times. Snell, me and you need to go through Valpo pimpin' it out in my GhettoBlaster known as a car.
  2. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1731996 Interesting. I doubt he'll go for Konerko now, considering DePodesta is a stat freak.
  3. Duncan was the Cubbie who gave up the Grand Slam to C Lee during the 2000 season, I believe (or 2001, not sure). Duncan http://www.sports-wired.com/players/profile.asp?ID=1018 Sims http://www.sports-wired.com/players/profile.asp?ID=22341 Ebbert http://www.sports-wired.com/players/profile.asp?ID=11036 Miller http://www.sports-wired.com/players/profile.asp?Name=GCJC Kesten http://www.sports-wired.com/players/profile.asp?ID=5865 Sullivan http://www.sports-wired.com/players/profile.asp?ID=7168
  4. We got Greg Miller!!! Hahahhahaa......f*** off, I tried to make a joke.
  5. C Lee has grounded into 57 double plays from 00-03. Oddly enough, he only had 5 in the 2002 season.

My heatsink offed itself, and my CPU kept getting so hot it shut itself down. I just put on a new heatsink and put in another fan, and all is well. Wewt!~!

My computer is quite moronic. As of now my computer is just f***ing off the wall. So, I may or may not be online for the next few days. I think I'm going to wipe my entire HD as a precautionary measure. Have to get some CD-Rs though so I can save my music Mike....for now
  10. I demand a funny MSPaint sig. Go to it.
  11. Oh yeah, Jason and Randy owe me big on this s***. Q: Mike from FutureSox.com asks: Hey Phil, I appreciate you giving us your time. The staff over at FutureSox is in absolute love with Ricardo Nanita. Is he simply overmatching younger kids a la Edgar Valera last year, or is he legit? Seems like he can rake. A: Phil Rogers: Nanita was a college player going against some raw pitching, and that is a hitting league. But .384 does get your attention. He'll be tested this year, especially if he jumps to the Carolina League. Varela was drafted as a college senior, by the way. He and Reed were teammates. -- Q: Mike from FutureSox.com asks: Hey Phil! Over at FutureSox.com we do a bi-yearly Top 50 list, and I have a few questions. What do you think of Fabio Castro and Orionny Lopez? The staff here at FutureSox are very high on them, especially Castro. A: Phil Rogers: I'd agree, especially on Castro. He seems gifted. Master of Advertising: Mike Doyle!
  12. Rotation: 1) Loaiza 2) Buehrle 3) Garland 4) Schoeneweis 5) Rauch Bullpen: CL: Koch RS: Takatsu LS: Marte LHP: Wunsch RHP: Politte RHP: Wright Lineup: 2B Harris SS Valentin DH Thomas RF Ordonez LF Lee 1B Konerko 3B Crede CF Rowand C Olivo Could see Lee at 2 and possibly Valentin at 6, Konerko to 5. Bench: Uribe Gload Alomar Benard Dransfeldt
  13. Antoin Gray. He can rake, but can he do it in A ball? Haigwood, also.
  14. I'm looking at the FS Top 50 right now, and we were pretty close with all the players except Sweeney and Young. We all agreed to leave Takatsu off the list, otherwise he would have cracked the Top 10. I liked Honel over Cotts, although I was ruled out by Jason and Randy Sweeney 4 is astonishing. The FS writers like him and all, but 4? No way. Young at 9? Well, we disagree. Greatly. I'd put a McCarthy, Valido etc above Young for the time being. Rauch deserves to be up there.

That's actually the most "famous" streaker. He's from England, he's streaked in a bunch of soccer matches.

I shall now use this thread to increase my post count.
  17. Expanded, under/equal to 29: Anaheim - Washburn Arizona - Webb Atlanta - Ramirez, Perez Baltimore - Ponson Boston - To some extent Ohka Cubs - Cruz, Prior, Zambrano, Wood White Sox - Buehrle, Wells Cincy - Wagner? Cleveland - Sabathia Colorado - Chacon Detroit - Bonderman, Weaver Florida - Willis, Beckett, Penny, Burnett Houston - Hernandez, Oswalt, Miller, Redding Kansas City - None Los Angeles - Jackson? Milwaukee - Sheets Minnesota - Santana Montreal - Vazquez, Day? Mets - Seo (even though I think he'll bust) Yankees - None Oakland - Mulder, Hudson, Zito, Harden Philadelphia - Padilla, Wolf, Myers Pittsburgh - None San Diego - Perez, Eaton, Larence, Peavy San Francisco - Ainsworth, Williams, Foppert Seattle - Garcia, Piniero St. Louis - Morris Tampa - Kennedy (to some extent...two years ago) Texas - None Toronto - Halladay Now what does this show in terms of producing starting pitchers? It shows what you'd expect: randomness. You have Oakland, San Diego, Houston and Florida with the most amount of good young pitchers. And then everything is between 1-3, yay. This proves close to nothing
  18. I think under 30 would be more fair. Leaving out a Tim Hudson because he's 28 doesn't make sense. He's pitched ONLY with A's and not another team. Harden should be on the list as well.

I attended the USC-ND game this year and the USC fight song was far superior to ND's.
  20. Yay, a good thread! After reading through the 8 or so pages, just found one thing that wasn't quite right. Tisch is a LH, not RH. Oh, and Rex I've got a question for ya. I heard that Reed's apartment lease expired when he was in Birmingham and he found a new home sleeping in the Barons clubhouse. Any truth to this, because I might want to put this in Jeremy's bio for the FutureSox list. (Yes, I'm writing about Jeremy, and I just rattled off about 500 words on him. Yay!)
  21. Go Nancy Kerrigan on her ass.
