  1. Dunno about that. Baldwin for Masaoka/Berry/Majewski would have been great if he held onto Masaoka. The guy had an awful spring training, but had a huge upside. But, the Berry/Barry thing was awful.
  2. Right now the Barons have the following starters: West, Yofu, Enemencio Now, the Barons could have McWhirter fill in for Ulacia/Cotts and promote a starter (Francisco, Honel, Wing) Or have Wylie and McWhirter start and promote Stumm or Meaux. Rex, what sounds like the most likely?
  3. And his top 2 prospects for Paul Shuey. Ugh.
  4. I'd assume it would be more of a precautionary move. Cotts has been throwing a ton of pitches, and maybe his shoulder just became sore from so many pitches.
  5. Ditto. Spidale is hitting well, but he needs to imrpove his baserunning. I think he had a lot of CS last year, and he is a speed demon.
  6. That .309 OBP is sure suited for leadoff duties!
  7. They are potential first rounders in two years, though.
  8. I hope Sammy appeals and gets to face Clemens. I'd bet money Clemens would bean him right between the shoulders, first pitch.
  9. Q: Mike Doyle from Valparaiso, IN asks: What are the chances that the White Sox can sign Donald Veal andor Greg Moviel? A: Jim Callis: Arizona HS LHP Veal (12th round) turned down a $500,000 offer from the Yankees and likely will attend the University of Arizona unless the White Sox give him $750,000. Ohio HS LHP Moviel (15th) is a top student committed to Vanderbilt and probably won't sign either. But they're good late-round gambles in case the Sox don't sign one of their early picks. Yay, unsigned people rule.
  10. Pitch from Steve Parris...it's hit....the hop is on.....375 foot flyout. Loser.
  11. There will be one American represenitive, and one world represenitive. I'd guess Ring and Yan.
  12. 3:08 PM ET Dr. Veal Arizona high school lefty Donald Veal is regarded as one of the more projectable pitchers in the draft for his athleticism and effortless delivery. A 4.0 student, Veal is a tough sign because he has aspirations of becoming a doctor. But he isn't unsignable. He is reportedly looking for second- third-round money, though, which the White Sox might be able to do. -- Josh Boyd
  13. Honestly, shut up. Dear Lord, Jose has been God f***ing awful this year, and D'Angelo has been the most consistent player on this team. The difference between D'Ang and Jose, is that D'Angelo manages to get on-base and then out, while Jose can't even get to first 3/10 of the time.
  14. Miguel deserves PT for his D. I still love's Frank OBP, and Maggs is getting it turned around. C Lee looks decent. D'Ang is the only consistent one, but everyone else is atrocious.
  15. 3 and out, just like I said.
  16. We're actually coming back? 8-6, no one out? I predict we go 3 and out right...now.
  17. Neither should even be playing, period. I'm sick of people saying Crede's young and Ventura went 0-40 something. Bulls***, Crede has never done anything at the major league level, with the exception of last year, where he never f***ing walked. Even when he can hit, he doesn't have any plate discipline.
  18. Below the Mendoza line. Excuse me while I go throw myself into a wall.
  19. Eric Chavez made the best point so far, in my mind: "He said he was using it in batting practice to put on a show to the fans? Batting practice is used to get ready for the game, not put on a show."
  20. Hate to break it to everyone, but just about everyone does insider trading.
  21. 47. Richard O'Brien - C, Catholic HS 48. Michael Alvarez - RHP, Monsignor Pace HS
  22. 46. Gregory del George - SS, Monsignor Farrel HS BEST. NAME. EVER.
  23. 44. Brandon Johnson - 2B, Crowder College 45. Mitchell Woolf - RHP, College of Southern Idaho
