Espn Radio reports Alomar is traded to Sox
To everyone who is worrying about the Sox's minor-league bullpen situation: Arnaldo Munoz David Sanders Matt Ginter Also, ineffective starters can be turned into relief pitchers fairly easily. Again, great trade.

Espn Radio reports Alomar is traded to Sox
Ring, Almonte, and Andy Salvo for Alomar? Stolen! Kudos to KW, great trade.

Reed # 2 on BA Hot Sheet
Just about everyone from BP is a sabermetician, aka they create these wacky, but very useful, formulas that can gauge a player's worth and potential. These guys aren't merely fans, they're very intelligent guys who have studied the game for quite a long time.

2003 Draftees
Dizard did sign, according to USA Today. They also said Mike Moat signed, and it took BA several days to put this up.

Reed # 2 on BA Hot Sheet
Yes I did. I also noticed Aaron Hill made the top 10, but my boy Ricardo Nanita received no love with similar numbers.

was the attendance tonight. I'm going tomorrow.

Winston-Salem Box for today
So? Honel grew up in New Lenox, and he'd be pitching in his home park. It's his freaking dream.
-
Winston-Salem Box for today
Man, BA really should have included Honel for the Futures Game. His numbers are filthy.

Cotts pitching well
Cotts, I'll be at the Future's Game. I'll make a sign along the lines of: Soxtalk I'm in section 102, which is about dead-away center. Would love to meet with you.

a trade i'd love to see
Rauch and DJ for Castillo would actaully make a lot of sense. I'd be inclined to do it, but Florida would probably ask for one more player.

Am I Nuts?
Joan's face looks like it's pure rubber.

Jeremy Reed
Most experts thought Reed would go in the 4th or 5th round. Looks like a steal in the 2nd rounder to me.

Trade Loaiza
Hanley Ramirez is a potential five-tool shortstop who has a huge ceiling to grow. COuld be risky, but definetly worth it; rated better than B.J. Upton. Has some disciplinary issues. Kevin Youkilis is a walk machine. As Paul DePodesta put it, he is Ecuilis, the Greek God of walks. Right now he is hitting .296 with a .470+ OBP. He has 61 walks in 223 ABs, only 33 SO.

If KW makes a move, which is the right one?
Wright Jimenez Rowand for Pierre Castillo ? PIPE DREAM

Trade Loaiza
Anton French is going to be good, cerb. And since we have no true CF, why dont we trade an overachieving starter for him and a decent secondbaseman, which is another position were weak at? It sounds good to me. Loaiza is an overachiever this year. Im glad hes doing so but hes going to come back to earth sooner or later... Give me a break, French is garbage. His K:BB ratio is atrocious for a "lead-off man", and his OBP is merely mediocre for AAA. Also, he's 27 freaking years old. You're insane in you'd do that trade. Again, I'm asking for Hanley Ramirez, Kevin Youkilis, as well as two other prospects for Loaiza.

Cubs prospects are going down like flies
Angel Guzman out for the year after shoulder surgery. Hagerty had Tommy John, Sisco punched a wall, and now Guzman, all in about a half a year. Yikes.
-
Jeremy Reed
And to think, every so-called "draft expert" thought the Sox were idiots for selecting this guy in the 2nd round. What a steal, and if he develops some power, look out.
-
Cotts pitching well
Hey Bullard, get Cotts on here if you can, oh pretty please. I'd really love to meet him at the Future's Game.
-
Trade Loaiza
If you're trading the BEST starting pitcher in the major leagues, you better ask for more than Todd Walker and a crappy outfielder. If I'm trading E-Lo to the BoSox, I'm asking for Hanley Ramirez, Kevin Youkilis, and at least two other prospects.

Its okay
4/6 from the Cubs? I'll take it.

Minor League Boxes for Saturday
Rex, ESPN usually has some box scores available by about midnight, just depends day-to-day. Also, I love Nanita, could be a big steal in the 14th.

Top 11 of 2003... Well the first half anyway
No Radiohead? No dice. 2 + 2 = 5 is a great throwback to The Bends, and There, There isn't too shabby. Oh, Linkin Park is still God awful. Teenage angst, cry cry cry. Edit: Only decent song on the list is QotSA - Go with the FLow.

Scrubs @ Sox
Six innings left. I would have hated to see your reaction yesterday when the Sox went down 3-0. Jeebus, Wood is unpredictable, and can lose his control in nanoseconds.
