    I'm back

My f***ing God, worst state/area/cesspool ever created. Words cannot describe how God-awful that place really is. Since I've been gone for two weeks (you missed me, admit it), I'll highlight some stuff on my journey. 6/9 - I spend my last day in NW Indiana by seeing Coldplay at the UIC Pavilion. Good show. 6/10 - I fly into the s***hole known as Houston, Texas. Bought new Radiohead album, good stuff. 6/16 - I start work, it sucks. 6/26 - I end work, I'm elated. Inbetween the 16th and 26th I realized that a ton of texas women are fat and nasty, most men are racists, and BMWs f***ing rule. My dad test drove a 740 iL, dear f***ing lord, it wins! That's all, I'm glad to be back home. I have tickets to the Future's Game, and possibly the All-Star Game. Good times. Oh, got new shades, too. SPiffeh!
  3. Guten Tag von Texas! I am currently in Texas City, Texas. Not that bad of a place, and my job is pretty sweet, too. 4 days a week, 40 hours, 3 day weekends. I'm going to run, but I'll check back later. Auf Wiedersehen.
  4. Oh, lucky me! I'm leaving in an hour to go to Midway so I can fly out to the worst state ever f***ing created, Texas. I'll be working down there until the 27th, and I'll be flying back on the 28th. I start work on the 12th, and have to take a drug test on the 11th. Should be fun digging stuff for 50 hours a week in 100 degree heat with a bunch of Mexicans who don't speak English very well. Oh well, 13 bucks an hour isn't that bad.
  5. Buehrle is a horrible fantasy pitcher, IMO. Not enough strikeouts to warrant picking up.
  6. You still haven't answered his question. Learn to read.
  7. I'm pulling for Kerry myself. And there is no way in all hell that I'd ever vote for Joe "Blame evereything on entertainment" Lieberman. If he gets nominated, I will vote for the Communist Party of America, dead serious.

    IF I may,

80 bucks a month, Chevy S10, 18 years old (me, not the car).
  9. The only reason he's in Chicago is because there is a death in the family. No talent? My ass, what are you smoking?
  10. Office Space f***ing rules.
  11. He's not in the Sox organization, in Florida's. His stats: .246 BA 48 H 20 HR 195 AB 16 BB You may be thinking, power potential, schhhhhwwwwing!!! But I have one stat left: 89 SO Russell Branyan, eat your heart out. Say this guy gets 550 AB, he would strikeout 251 times. OUT MACHINE!!!
  12. Harris can run, really f***ing fast.
  13. Oh, no way. I think he might be a year ahead of Mauer, especially with Pierzynski in Minnesota, but not 2-3.
  14. I'd say Mauer would make it fully in 2005, but I think a callup in Sept 2004 isn't out of the question. Reed might be on a faster timeline, Rex, mainly because he came out of College, and the upper levels of the Sox organization is pretty bare with position players.
  15. Almonte was the minor-league saves leader in 2001 and 2002 combined. This year, on the other hand, is awful. He's 26, in AAA, and has an ERA in the high 6's. I'd see him dropping a ton on the list
  16. Same could have happened with Hummel at 3rd. Bobbles a grounder then airmails it over 1st.
  17. If I'm a GM, I'd take Mauer over Reed. You don't see that kind of talent at the catcher position very often. Even though I love what Reed is doing at the plate, I just think Mauer is more valuabel because of his position. If Jeremy Reed can ever learn to catch, then I'd take Reed in a heartbeat
  18. Hummel and Rowand with two errors a piece, ugly.
  19. Mauer will be a good player, but not along the same lines as Prior. He has the skills to hit .300 and have an OBP of .400 or so, but his power is marginal at best. Speed, none.
  20. Dumb GMs trade the future. You have to try and see if the GM will bite, because if you don't do it, you'll never know.
