  1. Honel, Cotts, Wing PLEASE OH PLEEZZ
  2. PTBNL? That makes no sense to me. If it's a PTBNL it usually indicates that the player's name must be withheld because you cannot trade a player within a year of signing him, ala Jeremy Bonderman. God, thanks for another f***ing hairpin turn.
  3. I've heard that one pitcher is from Charlotte, one is a bum, and the other is from Winston-Salem. Don't quote me on that, this is what I hear.
  4. Here's to hoping KW traded Carlos Lee, the one in Rookie ball, and fooled John Hart at it.
  5. Cerbaho-WG

    Lineup

2B - Alomar CF - Rowand 1B - Thomas RF - Ordonez DH - Everett LF - Lee SS - Valentin 3B - Crede C - Olivo or you could have Everett CF, Daubber DH.

    Lineup

Holy s***, Batman, our lineup is potent!
  7. Actually, I have to e-mail you about that trip. Since I worked so few hours, I may only go for like two days or so.
  8. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TELL ME WHO WAS TRADED, I'M GOING INSANE!!! Someone hug me (Jason, that's you).
  9. Rios and Jimenez were designated for assignment. The Sox now have 10 days to sent both of them to the minors, trade them, or release them.
  10. Sorry for pegging my post count, but this pool thing just doesn't sound right to me. The AP is citing a "baseball source" (AHEM GAMMONS AHEM) is saying the Rangers may select 2-3 for Everett. I don't believe a WORD Gammons says, ever, so I'm skeptical. I'm assuming we're going to see Rauch, a bum, and a top-tier prospect go by tonight.
  11. Guess we'll find out in about 15-20 minutes. texas-Anaheim game is in the 9th. Man I love how KW is taking some big risks, but if Wing, Honel or Cotts goes, I'll explode.
  12. The Rangers have a pool of five players to choose three guys. Here is who I THINK is in that pool: Rauch Malone Cotts Munoz West Well, this is me talking out of my ass, but who cares.
  13. After watching BBTN, how Gammons said "Neal Cotts is in this trade blah" he was assuming. He's just guessing guys, don't worry just yet.
  14. Gammons also said that the Sox traded for Russ Ortiz, and we all know how that went.
  15. C'mon guys, remember it! 5th inning, Fan Deck!
  16. Want to meet up somewhere? How about at the Fan Deck at the Bottom of the 5th? Fan Deck is the new über-tall platform where you can look out from center, but everyone prolly knows that. I won't be hard to spot at all, I'll be wearing: A Huge Buehrle jersey (size 52, eep!) it's sleeveless. Along with my Sox hat, with my new Oakleys on the bill. See ya at the game Oh, this is assuming I get non upper deck tickets, which I should.
  17. Konerko can refuse the assignment, and even if he does accept the demotion, any team can snag him off of waivers.
  18. How do you know he won't blow out his arm, get nailed by a line drive in the face, or hell even choke to death almighty one?
  19. Eddie Guardado, Arthur Rhodes (for now)
  20. 42 IP 35 H 28 BB 41 SO 4.71 ERA Those are Valentine's numbers. What a difference Birmingham and the PCL make.
  21. If I remember correctly... The Elias Sports Beureau tabulates how much a player is worth and divvies up the players into three categories: A, B, and C. Type A Compensation is that the player is in the top 20-30% of his position. Teams receiving this compensation receive one of the following: If the team who took the FA's pick is 1-15, they lose their 2nd round pick, and the team that lost the player receives a first round supplemental pick. If the team who took the FA's pick is 16-30, they lose their first round pick, and the team that lost the player receives a first round supplemental pick. A type B player is in the 50% in the game in his position. The team that loses the FA gets the player's new team's HIGHEST draft pick. Type C pick you get a sandwich pick between the 2nd-3rd rounds. Hope that helps.
  22. Why are you listening to the Score? Of course they're going to bash the Sox as much as possible. Listen to ESPN Radio 1000, a lot better stuff.
  23. Nono, you have it messed up. Whoever signs Alomar, we get their picks, and it depends on whether the team's pick is top 15 or lower 15. So, say the D'Backs sign Alomar, and they have the 22nd pick overall. We get their 22nd pick, as well as our pick, along with a pick from 32-40ish.
  24. GET OVER IT! Man, Almonte is a Foulke clone who is a lot worse than Foulke. Matt Ginter is a lot better than Almonte. Ring is a 'tweener, and hasn't been hitting over 90 MPH, from what I've heard. The Sox still have Munoz, Sanders, Wunsch and Marte in the pen (future and present). Also, if Alomar leaves next year, we'd be getting Type A Compensation for him, which means we'd get a first round draft-pick AND a first-round supplemental for Alomar. Would you take those two draft picks from two future relief pitchers? I sure as hell would. Great trade.
