  1. It's better to be 0-1 with a healthy team, then to be 1-0 with your SS out for a month or two. And we thought the Sox opener was bad!
  2. The D-Rays beat the Yankees sometimes, too. Nothing to get worried about, guys.
  3. Jesus, guys, IT'S ONE GAME!!! Frank looked good at the late, had a solid single, drew two walks, one from an 0-2 count. Sure, it sucks to lose on Opening Day, but the offense will get its ship righted.
  4. Maddux bombed Glavine bombed Morris is getting rocked Buehrle loses s*** happens, everything will be fine soon enough.
  5. Eh, one game. I'm going to hear it from the Cubbie faithful tomorrow, though. Whatever, we've got Colon going, and I'm really optimistic.
  6. ffs A Special Olympics T-Ball team could have produced more hits.
  7. thank, i haven't heard much on him. I'm fairly positive, that two years ago Clay Eason was named the Pitcher of the Year in the Independent League. After that, he was signed by the Sox.
  8. Stewart should have started for the Pale Hose.
  9. Rauch Stewart Diaz Adkins Somebody I'm forgetting
  10. Seems odd that the Sox would release Scoville considering they drafted him just last year. Nothing surprising, though.
  11. http://espn.go.com/mlb/spring2003/preview0...redictions.html 14 experts say the Twins win the Central. 11 say the Sox will. One expert says that the Sox will go in as a wildcard, one also says that the Twins will enter as a wildcard. Four experts pick Magglio as AL MVP. Rob Dibble, who is my hero , picked Bartolo as AL Cy Young. Jeff Brantley picked Buehrle as AL Cy Young.
  12. I gave it to Jason, but I'll shoot you off a copy right now.
  13. Something is wrong, Heath Phillips should be on the roster. It doesn't make any sense AT ALL to keep him in Winston-Salem for another year.
  14. Ahh, feels good to get that baby off! I really believe it's the best piece I've written, and I can't wait to see it on the front page! I hope you guys really enjoy it, because I love seeing the positive feedback from you guys. Unfortunately, I have nothing to write about now . Oh well, let's hope some trades go down so I can analyze some more players!

    Hey Rex

He better not take away my job! Joking aside, it would be really cool to have Rex write some stuff for us, because he is more than knowledgable about the happenings in Birmingham.
  16. Rex, wouldn't you expect Eason to be moved off to AAA Charlotte? He did very well in Birmingham last year, but did struggle a bit in Charlotte. I also believe Malone will be in Charlotte.
  17. I believe he is a lefty. He could be one of those freaks who bats left and throw right, not positive. I'm probably going to spend the next hour or so finishing up my Winston-Salem report, have about 6 or more guys I want to talk about.
  18. Jeff Kent up! Get off the schnide! Damaso Marte pitching, what kind of funky name is that? This is Texas! I swear to God, this Astros broadcaster rivals Chip Caray for the most horrible broadcaster ever. Foul, Konerko picks the ball up, flips it into the crowd. GET THE SOX OUTTA THERE AND NUKE IT!! NUUUUUUKE IT!!! Zaun walks, crowd falls asleep. Ensberg has a fruity girlish name! DOUBLE PLAY GIRLY MAN, SIT DOWN!!! End of 7, 5-0 Sox.
  19. Blum in at first. // INTIATE CUBS BROADCASTER MODE // Crafty pitcher, Stone is now in! Rowand up, hits a hot missle to short, shortstop defies the laws of physics, gets the ball, and throws a laser beam to first for the out! Sandy Alomar up! Is he related to Sandy Alomar Sr? Anyways, an artillery shot of a slow dribbler to the SS, who now defies the laws of thermodynamics, and throws out Alomar! Miles strikes out on a fastball that warps through the 4th dimension, goes through my ass, blows off my wannabe afro of a hair peice and is caught for strike 3!
