i am in total agreement with you. i was extremely happy how the board developes with just as much info on the minors as it did with what is happening at the majors. You are so right. That is one of the things I like about this board. I know more about the Sox minor leaguers now than I have ever known in 40+ years of being a Sox fan. thanks, the one other thing i wish is that there were more on the sox lower minors players. but then again, i am the kind of person who can never get enuf news of our young prospects. i need to know more about how our draft picks are doing and the work that rex does with the box scores are great.

i personally think you have the 1 and 2 backwards. moviel was rated much higher than veal. veal was drafted where he was suppose to plus or minus a round. however moviel was rated at a supp 1 rounder or second.

I'll step up and say I didn't think it would happen. I'll be honest and say I still can't quite figure out how it is happening. The guys have really gotten comfortable in their roles and aren't trying to do too much. They don't score much, but seem to find ways to win. I'll give them credit because I didn't see it coming. either way, i am soooo happy at the success that the barons are having. i just looked at the pitching and figure that they will gets us there.

isn't it a theory that if a prospect is a gap hitter with a lot of doubles in the minors, he will more often than not develop some decent power numbers when he gets older and stronger. btw how old is he?
