QUOTE(GoSox05 @ May 18, 2007 -> 04:07 PM) Im trying to be patient. But its almost 40 games into the year and we have not one guy hitting over .265 and are four hitter is batting .191 Its just a little nerve racking. and our bullpen blows... -
QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ May 17, 2007 -> 04:09 PM) It is painful to follow the Twins these days Santana had 11k's and gave up four hits Only 2 of those hits were HR and thats all the opponets need these days to defeat this punchless club If it's any consolation you know anytime Santana faces us its an automatic win.

Oh Well (Postgame Thread part 2)

QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 16, 2007 -> 11:52 PM) I don't know if it's sad or kind of cool that Gustavo Molina will end his major league baseball career with a grand total of 1 hit. The drive of the game damnit!! I was laughing when I saw that. When a base hit by Gustavo Molina is your drive of the game, the hitting coach needs to get fired on the spot. -
AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!

Watching this team I don't care how they do it. Just f***ing win. This team is frustrating to watch even when their winning. -
QUOTE(fathom @ May 16, 2007 -> 11:25 PM) He kept complaining about how the pink bats, which were being used to support breast cancer charities, were taking away from the spirit of the game and had no business being used. This coming from someone who can't go longer than 2 minutes before promoting some type of Diabetes thing. Wow what an asshole.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 16, 2007 -> 11:09 PM) Someone needs to tell Walker we no longer need your services. ^^ What he said. It's really crazy to see this team and look at the record. We can only hope that we stay within shooting distance of the top teams and the Twins keep falling so much they can't dig themselves out.

Bonderman going on the 15 Day DL for the Tigers with blister problems. Taking his spot in the rotation is Andrew Miller. Link

QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ May 16, 2007 -> 04:16 PM) I really didn't expect Danks to be this good. Anyone know the most innings he's pitched in a season? Nevermind didn't see you meant in a season. -
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 15, 2007 -> 11:47 PM) John Bonser is about as much of a rookie as say Rich Hill or Jared Weaver. I didn't realize Bonser had 100 innings pitched last year. Now that I'm looking at it Baker has had some innings up too. Maybe I should have said their options aren't exactly established in the league and are bound to have troubles.
-
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 15, 2007 -> 10:04 PM) Ugh, Ortiz soon to follow Ponson on a raft to nowhere. More stud prospects to their rotation. Even if they do replace Ortiz along with Ponson, that's 3 rookies in their rotation at the same time. Bonser, Garza, Slowey/Baker even though Garza and Baker have had time up, they still have limited experience. It doesn't matter what team it is, 3 rookies in the same rotation is tough. You'd expect at least a few bumpy starts from each. Although it does look tough for us once they get established.

World Series to start on a Wednesday

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 15, 2007 -> 05:42 PM) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2869747 I like the fact that it's starting on Wednesday, but I would much rather have it be a week earlier. Start the season three days earlier and have a few scheduled doubleheaders. This sucks. For me at least, especially if the White Sox are involved. I would much rather have it on a Saturday when I don't have to worry about going in to work the next day. -
Perkins and the Twins are getting creamed by the Indians. 9-2 Indians in the 2nd. Everything going right for the Indians.

White Sox vs. Royals, 5/12/07 (W)

QUOTE(3E8 @ May 12, 2007 -> 08:15 PM) The Booner? Lol I don't know if he was cut off, but right after he said that he just stopped in the middle of his next words. -
QUOTE(Big Hurtin @ May 12, 2007 -> 06:52 PM) Anyone know who on the White Sox is going to use one? Paul Konerko, A.J. Pierzynski, Pablo Ozuna, Joe Crede, Darin Erstad and Gustavo Molina have all tentatively planned to use the pink bats on Sunday during an afternoon game against the Royals at U.S. Cellular Field. Thome and Scott Podsednik also were scheduled to swing the pink bat but are currently on the disabled list, while Brian Anderson was another willing participant who has since been reassigned to Charlotte. Thome will also be swinging it pink in the minors. Link

The Astros have optioned their former first round draft pick, Chris Burke to AAA. Replacing his roster spot is the Rick White we all know. Wheres the throw up smiley... Hunter Pence, the rookie, will take his spot in CF. Link

Braves meet with Rainbow/PUSH officials
Whitewashed in '05 replied to Controlled Chaos's topic in The Diamond Club
You gotta be kidding me. Teams get players that help them win the WS, well most of them. I am sure no one would have a problem drafting or calling up a black player capable of playing in the MLB.
