  1. McClung in to relieve and gives the first 2 batters hitters counts and he turns them into outs. Good job offense.
  2. Lol check this out. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...sp&c_id=chc EDIT: The link will probably only work until they find out its wrong.
  3. What a game by the sox today to come back and beat the Drays with the Twins losing. What a job by Gooch and Dye to getting the job done.
  4. Hats off to Dye for those SB's, that guy has been great all season long. Keep it up big man, we need you!
  5. This is whats its all about. No more waiting for wins, we need them now!! Great job by Gooch!
  6. The legend of Boone Logan. Hopefully he comes up strong, I am rooting for the guy and the rest of our call ups.
  7. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 11:16 PM) They were running on Freddy like it was little league and Cotts still can't get guys out. The Sox scored a couple of runs the inning before Cotts entered. If they had not scored, Thornton was ready and would have been the choice. I don't know what the exact problem with Cotts is right now, but he's turned into a left handed Politte. It's really disappointing conisdering what Cotts did last year. He was lights out!
  8. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 10:59 PM) How are the Twins the hottest team in baseball right now? Maybe the hottest team in baseball with a two game losing streak... Silva looked BRUTAL on sunday, and the last two times we've seen Santana, we've hit him hard even though we lost both games. This certainly is NOT the dominant second half Santana we've seen in the past tonight they lost a game at home to the worst team in the majors also, the Twins are 9-8 in their last 17. Again, I fail to see how this is particularly "hot" Okay maybe not the hottest team in baseball, but they've still been doing good in the second half. Good enough to get even with us even though, by record were pretty good. Especially when we can barely beat them. Yeah Bonser sucks, but we lost against him.
  9. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 10:56 PM) Well, I can see why some would say they're "done." With Radke hurting, their starting staff is well below average outside of Santana. However, they're so well managed and play the game the right away. I just don't see them fading away. Well you can also say that if our rotation starts pitching like they can, then were perfectly fine, but their not so you can't say that. Its the same with the Twins, once they start losing then you can say they're done, until then they're still even with us.
  10. A few of you are saying the Twins are done and I don't understand that. They have been the hottest team in baseball for a while and they still are winning without Liriano. You guys say not with their current rotation, but they still seem to be getting it done.... Like I said in the beginning of the year, don't forget about the Twins. Now you can't count them out until they start losing a few in a row.
  11. Ugh terrible game by Freddy, Cotts, and Riske. Sooner or later before the season ends were going to need those guys and if they don't perform weren't not going to win... Anyway they won today. Great job by Dye once again and the rest of the offense and Thornton and Jenks. Last year the sox always said, "we don't score more than we have to" this year its more like "we score one more than we have to."
  12. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 01:43 PM) The best part is, Dye only cares about if the team wins.
  13. He has had an incredible season, really fun to watch. He deserves it. MVP! MVP! MVP!
  14. A "W" vs the Twins... finally. I thought I'd never see this day. Great job by the pitching and the offense. They need to do this more often including good defense.
  15. This is an awful tragedy. My prayers go out to the families of the people onboard.
  16. QUOTE(forrestg @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 09:51 PM) I miss Carl Everett at least he had a different approach when he had 2 strikes on him.. He shortened his swing up stood more flat footed. As Damen said, the approach is worthless if it doesn't do any good. He'd still swing and miss at that low and inside breaking ball with that short swing (hell any pitch for that matter.) Besides I am happy with Thome.
  17. Happy birthday big man. Hope to see you back in that lineup soon and can't wait for #500.
  18. I am very happy for you. It's always great to look back and think about how fun it was. It's nice to see that soxtalk helped get the most out of your trip.
  19. In my opinion they all need to pitch better. We really can't have 2 guys doing real good we need all of them to do good.
  20. No one beats the Widge and the team is finding that out!
  21. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 11:05 PM) Rongey says he is a fan, and he gets frustrated. Bulls***. You are a paid cheerleader. Your job description is to spin poop into something that the fans can injest, and then tell them its Fillet Mignon. And then act shocked that they still think its poop. Lol, preach on.
