  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 08:59 PM) Crap, Thornton's coming in. Laroche and Crisp are good fastball hitters. I don't know how Mark doesn't get to at least start the inning. Very worried now.
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 08:55 PM) Matt or Mark in the 9th? Definitely Mark, but have peeps warming up.
  3. Please have Mark on a short leash here Oz.
  4. Whew. Gave em five outs that inning.
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 07:57 PM) Some classic Always Sunny episodes on Comedy Central tonight including "The Gang solves the Gas Crisis". Looks like i'll be flipping back and forth. Because I cut the brakes, wild card b****ES!!
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 07:50 PM) If Saturday was 26k, then there's no more than 17-18k there tonight I haven't seen the upper deck, but wow, that's quite discouraging.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 07:48 PM) Are you sure tonight is half price? If so, this attendance is shocking. Yeah this is exactly what Reinsdorf didn't want. Team is good (so far at least) and tonight it's decent outside yet no more than 25,000 people.
  8. Well stealth elf don't get picked off.
  9. Soft-throwing lefties and the Sox... This bringing back memories of Mulder-Buehrle duels.
  10. Boston does not scare me at all. In order of scariness for the Bulls in the playoffs: 1. Heat 2. Magic 3. Boston And Bulls get a break (even though the No. 1 in the East will be clinched tomorrow), no Dwight. Still hoping to get the No. 1 overall seed.
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 5, 2011 -> 04:01 PM) If he's going to fail out why not just let him play? At that point what do you lose? He's gone next year anyway. I'm also not sure why he continued to participate in team gatherings last week and why Weber came out and said he expected him back. Well that's what schools like Memphis have done all the time, but ethically, it's a horrible precedent to set. Bobby Knight said once that a student doesn't have to go to class the entire second semester to be eligible for the college basketball season. So while Jereme was eligible, he certainly should have received some punishment for not taking his academics seriously.
  12. Who will get drafted first? Demetri or Jereme? I think it will be close.
  13. There was also a good chance Jereme Richmond couldn't have returned to Illinois next year with grade issues. There were lots of rumors that he never went to class and pretty much failed every class. Good riddance to a problem child.
  14. QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 5, 2011 -> 03:49 PM) Oh yeah forgot about him. That's a big help. The bottom half of the Big Ten should be pretty bad so it won't be a 7 bid league next year, but the lack of depth will probably hurt their resume. They will be Northwestern competitive this year. No real chance at the NCAA Tourney, but can give a top team a run for their money on the right day. Illinois is relying on Myers Leonard who looked lost almost all year to play 25 minutes. Not a good recipe.
  15. HAHA, Jereme Richmond what a turd. There is no way he is a lottery pick. I actually think though by him getting drafted late in the first round by a strong team, he will benefit. But I will curious to see how long he lasts in the NBA with his attitude and mediocre game.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 3, 2011 -> 12:59 PM) What was Quentin doing there? Yeah, the base running in that play was almost as bad as the bunt itself.
  17. Why do Hawk/Stone assumed it's Sox fans driving to Cleveland from Chicago? Is it that crazy to think there might be some Sox fans in a big city like Cleveland or the state of Ohio.
  18. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 12:44 PM) That's assuming a 100% success rate on the bunt, which we just saw isn't reality. Well you wouldn't bunt if you weren't confident your player would get the bunt down.
  19. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 12:38 PM) Can we just refer to this link whenever sac bunts come up? http://www.baseballprospectus.com/statisti...x.php?cid=68778 But I ain't even mad. We're smashing right now! According to that data, the difference between 1/2 no outs and 2/3 one out is pretty negligible, but barely in favor of swinging at away. That is probably the classic case of it could go both ways.
  20. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 12:33 PM) Nope, I'm going to blame the guy that failed in his job. Morel definitely is at fault for not getting it down, but I just hate the bunt call in the second inning when it's been Tee ball off the pitcher thus far. But Brent has to get that down, no doubt.
  21. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 12:31 PM) Ouch, not a good bunt, Brent. I think that was a terrible idea to have him bunt. Don't give Carassco free outs when he can't get anyone out. Exactly.
  22. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 12:29 PM) Uh oh, I smell an Alexei DP. Do I smell...Pantene? (will anyone get this reference?).
  23. Damn you AJ for hitting it too hard!!
