  1. We're gonna need a lot of hot sauce to catch up 2nite.
  2. BENCH MOB. They gonna get us back in this game. EDIT: I may have spoke too soon. Wow. As ugly a start as any this season.
  3. Todd Bertuzzi gonna be suspended for the rest of the regular season. That was dirty and he has a track record of being a dirty player.
  4. The Spanish intros were sweet. Actually a lot better than the English version we have currently. I absolutely despite Tommy Edwards. Would love that guy who did in Spanish do be the PA guy (just doing it in English).
  5. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 01:02 PM) Yes, but Gutierrez and LeBetard aren't talking about why LeBron or someone else should be MVP, they are talking about why Rose shouldn't. Yeah, I'll give ya that, that's def. true. It's like trying to grab dinner with someone and you keep suggesting places and they keep saying "no," "I don't feel like that," and "their food is not good" without suggesting something of their own.
  6. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 12:43 PM) Hell yeah Silvy LeBetard and Gutierrez are such big homers in this, its ridiculous. Granted, so are Chicago writers/people. Everyone wants their guy to win, it's as simple as that. I think Rose is the MVP of the league, but I understand where these other people are coming from.
  7. I really don't like going with a six-man bullpen to start the year. Granted there are off days, but the worst thing we can do is overworked our relievers early in the season just so Lillipad can stay on the roster two extra weeks. When will the Sox realize how worthless he is?
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 27, 2011 -> 12:47 PM) If no one else is going to do it, I should...as good as Rose was on the offensive end for the last 5 minutes, he was matched by Luol Deng on the defensive side. Deng really deserves to be All-NBA First-Team defense. His on-ball defense of the NBA's top wings has been terrific this year.
  9. QUOTE (The Baconator @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 10:28 AM) Bah! I'm moving to Jefferson City, MO in a week and was going to sneak over to KC on the 6th for the game. It will be my first trip to Kauffman (always thought it looked like a great park on tv, heard great things about the environment as well). I was hoping the cards would fall such that I would get to see one of our 'real' starters. Oh well, probably the only game I'll get to go to so make the most of it! Why you heading out to Jeff City? CoMo is just 20 minutes away. See some Mizzou Tiger athletics!
  10. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 06:39 PM) None of those schools sans maybe Indiana and UCLA need him. I'd consider Tennessee if I was him - depending on the NCAA stuff. I don't doubt that, but the best schools usually have the top coaches. Crean is cleaning up on the recruiting trail, too.
  11. In my opinion, the only schools that Stevens will touch are: Indiana Ohio State Michigan State Duke UNC Kansas UCLA My reason is that he probably wants to remain nestled somewhere in the Midwest, hence the Big 10 schools. The top two Big 10 schools now (Michigan State/Ohio State) and the school Stevens probably grew up a fan of (Indiana). And the other four are what I would call the Big 4 in college hoops that he would have to seriously consider. I excluded Kentucky because they will be on probation when that job opens up. And Duke looks like it might be the job opening up first. I figure, Coach K wants to get 1,000 wins and then he will call it quits. But that's still three or four years away, and even then, you would have to figure Duke would hire from either within the program or a former Duke guy. I personally believe he will be in the Big 10 eventually.
  12. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 11:52 AM) He'd be crazy to stay in school if he's a top 5 pick with his type of game. He's not like a Derrick Williams or Kyrie Irving where most people look at him and see a really good NBA player, so it's possible scouts sour on his game the longer he's in school. CBA uncertainty exists, but if you go and are a top 5 pick, you're going to get paid quite well. But it's not like the NFL where the money as a top-5 pick is astronomically larger than being the 12th pick. There is a legitimate chance there will be no NBA season in 2011-2012, so he would be doing nothing and making no money in that situation. Playing another year in college might be the safest move here. So what if he drops to 10th in the draft in 2012, he probably would get on a better team, in a better situation, being counted on for less and might end up having a better career because of it.
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 01:24 PM) He's so versatile. The White Mamba - Part time player, part time analyst, part time myth. His analysis makes a ton of sense though. I hope the Bulls bring him back next year, preferably as a coach, but I would be fine with a role like this year's. He works with Asik a ton and is probably is big reason why Omer has developed so quickly.
  14. I remember when I wouldn't trade this guy for a in-prime Ty Cobb. Oh prospects. I am so surprised he never became at least serviceable. Had a great eye at the plate, not a lot of strikeouts, fast, good fielder.
  15. I think it is a good idea for Sullinger to stay, especially with the uncertainty of the CBA, to stay in school for another year. There is a very good chance, more so than even the NFL, that there will be games lost next season in the NBA.
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 08:32 AM) lol, Howard AND Paul with Melo and Amare? GMAB, are they going to convince the other 8 players to agree to $1 paychecks? Yeah after the new NBA CBA, it will likely prove to be unfeasible to get either of them to Knicks. Enjoy five more years of mediocrity Melo, it will be fun to watch.
  17. Bulls gotta wake up and finish this game.
  18. QUOTE (Tex @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 01:01 PM) Damn, blocked http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_leagu...?urn=mlb-wp1300 Maybe you can watch the embedded video. I should warm some swearing, but it's all bleeped out.
  19. **Probably not safe for work unless you have headphones** http://www.vimeo.com/21379297 Didn't see this posted anywhere, if it is feel free to close. But this is absolutely hysterical. A must watch for all Sox fans.
  20. Finally the Hawks paired Duncan and Seabs together again. Why change what brought you a Stanley Cup? Get Campbell back with Hammer, and let Leddy/Campoli be the third group. Also love having Kaner and Toews play together, they are just so good with each other, again making me wonder why Q f***s with the lines so much.
  21. QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 08:59 PM) Celtics lose to Memphis. Bulls up a full game. Very nice. Bulls should win every game til that pivotal Boston game. It would be nice to have a two-game cushion facing the Celtics just to take a little pressure off. And since Boston likely will hold the tie-breaker, it would be nice to know even if we lost that game, we'd still be in first.
  22. Lance Broadway the second is gone!!
  23. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 10:34 PM) It's absolutely amazing how everything has developed with this Bulls team as the season progresses. Rose's defense is now pretty damn good. He's shutting down CP3 and Deron Williams like they're Carlos Arroyo-type point guards. After playing pretty meh for the majority of the second half, D-Rose has turned it up in the last three games. Luol Deng has turned into one of the better SFs in the league. Remember when everyone thought his contract was terrible and hated him? Well, now just about everyone loves him, his biggest fan might be Thibs and for good reason, Deng's an elite defender. Noah and Boozer hasn't worked out as well as everybody thought, but they've played, what, 20 games together? I don't remember things working out this well for any Chicago team since the 05 Sox and maybe the 06 Bears. But this Bulls team has a chance to accomplish something really special. Last year's Hawks, too.
  24. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 08:08 PM) I'm biased but how can anyone watch the Bulls right now and not say they are East favorites? I think they are the favorites, but this team still hasn't won in the playoffs, so that gives me pause. I am not sure how much prior playoff experience helps in the current playoffs, but I do worry that we aren't the most playoff-experienced. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 08:31 PM) i still wish we would have kept kirk as our 2 guard rather than have bogans If we have Kirk, we probably don't have two key guys on the bench.
  25. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 01:47 PM) Dunkaroos, Koala Yummies, Marshmallow Alpha-Bits Oh god yes!! I had a huge craving for Koala Yummies recently. I would also add: mid-90s Nickolodeon programming: Legends of the Hidden Temple, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Keenan and Kel, All That, etc. WHO LOVES ORANGE SODA...?
