QUOTE (The Gooch @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 01:04 PM) You are surprised a woman with over 50 bags of heroin in her vagina wasn't smart enough to do that? I am glad a poster with your name commented in this thread.
  2. Yes, the Hudson trade will probably hurt in the long run. But Clayton Richard is a back-of-the-rotation innings eater in the AL. Not bad, but nothing to be worried about.
  3. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Mar 21, 2011 -> 07:10 PM) Colon looks nasty right now against the Rays (MLB network) Yeah we know he is fat, ugly and smells, but how is he pitching?
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 21, 2011 -> 02:42 PM) Ehh I think the shots weren't falling in large part due to Kansas' defense. The Illini weaknesses were on full display in that game (Mike and Mike getting destroyed inside because they're both as soft as interior players come, the teams inability to beat anybody of relevance if McCamey isn't scoring, inability to draw fouls and get to the line regularly, etc). I actually give them credit because the effort was there, but Kansas is just a much better team. The issue isn't Illinois losing to a team like that as much as it is they shouldn't have been a 9 seed having to play such a team in the round of 32. It's okay though, I hope the seniors are proud. They left a legacy of absolutely nothing except lack of leadership, effort, accomplishment, and a bunch of empty numbers. In the long run, the younger guys on this team may be better off without them. Heck, they may be better off without Richmond too. Even though McCamey had solid numbers, I thought he made this team worse when he was on the court. Poor defense and poor judgments on the court in transition. I would much rather have Jereme run the point assuming he gets his issues fixed. I would love to see this lineup next year: PG-Richmond G-Richardson G-Paul F-Griffey C-Leonard I think next year, Illinois is going to have a ton of problems inside. Leonard didn't do anything to justify his hype this year except a couple of exciting plays here and there. Looked lost. Hopefully he can get much better. I really liked Griffey last year, but for whatever reason he didn't get much time this year. Mike Shaw is gonna be key. He has a college-ready body, so he could play big minutes next year.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 21, 2011 -> 08:07 AM) That is HUGE right now. If he is out an extended period of time, this team is done. Done in the playoffs, yes. But done in the regular season, no. But it's not good, but they should still have enough to make the playoffs.
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 20, 2011 -> 09:55 PM) Good riddance to Cole, McCamey, and Tisdale. Davis I actually wish we had you back. That game was there for the taking if McCamey and Tisdale didn't fail miserably at making open jumpers. This Kansas team is not a great team. College basketball is so freaking awful this year. Cole I thought was actually a pretty good glue guy. McCamey, Tisdale and Davis were supposed to be All-Big 10-caliber players, but never did s*** this year. I can't wait til we get a guy like Tracey Abrams next year who brings that toughness and win-at-all-costs attitude.
  7. Tisdale go away. You have been a bum since you stepped foot on campus. You, too, Mike Davis even though you had a good game tonight. Neither play any defense ever. And Demetri McCamey is simply put not a winner.
  8. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 20, 2011 -> 03:14 PM) Didn't we already have a BOLD predictions thread like a month or so ago? I have no clue. If I knew, I would not have started this one.
  9. Woah, mic a little too close to Ozzie. You could hear him say, "I am going to check everyone's (something). Everybody's wife I will check that s*** out." No idea what he is talking about.
  10. I am not too worried nor surprised. I didn't think he would be ready by April 1 as is, so this doesn't surprise me. Hopefully he just misses the next start and he is back on track for a mid-April debut, which is fine by me. Humber can be decent for two starts.
  11. I will go ahead and get started. Lastings Milledge will be a starting OF for the White Sox by June 1. Morel hits at least .280 on the season. Buehrle has a 5.00+ ERA on the year. Danks has a sub-3.00 ERA on the year. Your turn.
  12. Now can he go 4-for-4 and allow Milledge and Humber to make the team?
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 19, 2011 -> 07:45 AM) Not that bad but highly overrated He is a terrific player when healthy. I don't think he is overrated at all, he just can't stay healthy. He has a 21.60 PER, which is terrific and better than anyone not named Rose on the Bulls. Averaging 11 points/9 boards/2 blocks per game while shooting 57% in only 27 minutes per game. He is a solid defender (maybe dirty) and a strong scorer. He's also only 23 years old and a legit 7-feet with strength. What's exactly overrated about him? And he is probably going to be the reason the Lakers obtain Dwight Howard next year.
  14. The best thing to me about the Bulls is the lack of egos on the team and bad seeds. Everybody pulls for one another, everybody knows their role and plays it perfectly. Rose is clearly the leader and star, but he always credits his teammates for everything. This is perhaps the most unselfish team I have ever seen in the NBA.
  15. If Pearl was willing to lie the NCAA and commit the violations he has already been caught for in addition to the whole Illinois fabrication, I can only imagine the other things he has done in coaching career. The guy is A+ sleezeball.
  16. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 09:11 AM) I think there's a few things. The decision to walk off without shaking hands with any of Orlando's players after they lost in the ECF for 1 thing. His ability to get coaches fired. Mike Brown for one, Spoelstra very close early in the season (where do you think those rumors about him getting fired came from, Lebron's brass of course). His lack of taking responsibility. Every time he didn't make a game winning shot, he would blame everyone but himself. So basically, Lebron looks out for 1 person and that's Lebron. 1) You're a Magic fan, so you remember this much more haha 2) That's true, but Spolestra is a bum though I agree bout Mike Brown 3) I don't know bout this one. During that five-game losing streak, LeBron basically said he would stop failing his teammates, that sounds like accountability/responsibility to me.
  17. I know I am in the minority, but I don't dislike LeBron. Part of the hate toward him is the unfortunate timing for his free agency's with the explosion of new-age media, which made every thing he said/did news. The Decision was a horrible PR move, but other than that, I don't think there is much for me to hate LeBron on.
  18. Wade has to be the most unlikeable player in the NBA.
  19. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Mar 16, 2011 -> 07:36 PM) Hollinger (yes, I agree he is an idiot) now has the Bulls as the favorite to win the NBA title. That is only his stat-based prediction though, not necessarily his personal opinion (I think you are getting this from his standings, right?). Still cool though.
  20. So Yahoo = Pay and ESPN = free? I just jumped out of the yahoo one, but wanna double check, too.
  21. Haha, Illinois plays former coach Lon Kruger in the first round and then if they win, plays former coach Bill Self in the second. The last three Illinois coaches all in the same part of the bracket. I have Illinois winning the first (homer pick) and then getting annihilated in the second.
  22. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 04:41 PM) Morel 2-3, .208...keep it up. Maybe it's just my love for the guy, but I have 100% faith that Morel will hit in the majors. Maybe not for power this year, but is gonna be a .300 hitter with 15+ HRs, tons of doubles and great D eventually. The guy has done nothing but hit in the minors at every stop, and he will be fine in the majors. Just gotta get him the at-bats.
  23. QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 02:07 PM) Just wrapped up the 10th week (of 18 weeks) of my marathon training plan. I'm hoping the eventual turnaround of the weather gives me the push I need to finish the 2nd half of this plan stronger than the first. It's been a tougher go this time around, with so much of it being in the dark and cold. I feel ya. My training has been off and on. When it's 20s and dark, there is no motivation to be out the door running. 40s and some light is at least manageable.
  24. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 02:34 AM) I would like to see Harvard get in as an at-large. Wins against Colorado, Boston College and Princeton. Three of their losses are at Michigan, at George Mason and at UCONN. And Like 101 said, solid RPI. It's 37 or something. That gets in every year just about, so if Harvard doesn't get it that will be a shame. They played a strong non-conference schedule, dominated conference play except for two hiccups. There is no doubt in my mind they deserve it over Illinois -- and that's from an Illinois fan.
  25. I can't believe the Bulls have a realistic shot at winning 60 games this year. Simply incredible with the injuries. Have to go 13-4 in the last 17 games, not easy, but looking at the schedule not unrealistic. Washington @New Jersey @Indiana Sacramento @Atlanta Memphis @Milwaukee Philadelphia @Minnesota @Detroit Toronto Phoenix Boston @Cleveland @Orlando @NY Knicks New Jersey Only four really tough games: the road games against Atlanta, Orlando, the Knicks and at home against Bosotn.
