  1. QUOTE (TLAK @ Aug 17, 2008 -> 07:19 AM) That was the series Arnie Munoz made his start and gave up 11 runs. After the game Ozzie said "He only had one bad inning". Despite losing that game, that was one of the most entertaining games, with all the runs that scored. I remember DJ and Hawk were pretty loony that game as well.
  2. Alex Fernandez was my first favorite White Sox pitcher.
  3. Does anyone know what channel the BTN will be on Comcast's lineup in the Chicago area? It's supposed to be debuting tomorrow.
  4. Old pic I had on my Photbucket from '05; I loved his bat flip.
  5. First fall since pre-school that I'm not going to school.
  6. http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune....-and-a-los.html Wonder what the bet was...
  7. I just read the Rally Crede thread. That's some good medicine.
  8. The PGA Championship had a quality finish, with Padraig winning his second straight Tiger-less major. Sergio was playing so well. However, he remembered it was Sunday at a major championship, and conversely hit one into the drink on 16, which was the beginning of the end for him. Disappointing for him, as this was probably going to be his best chance at winning that first major.
  9. Love that they're using the NBA on NBC song during the basketball games. Brings me back to simpler times.
  10. Carl Everett would not be pleased.
  11. Toby Hall's pie-ing was very weak tonight.
  12. ...not really, but what the hell... Legit reasoning for everyone to be pulling for a Obama-Bayh ticket. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/...deny-veep-talk/
  13. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 08:20 PM) Do you guys remember that one game, against the Tigers, when Alexei Ramirez hit a 2-out home run in the bottom of the 8th inning off Kyle Farnsworth to tie the game, after the Sox had been down 6-1, and then later in the 14th inning, Nick Swisher hit a 3-run walk-off homer to win the game? That was awesome.
  14. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9...;show_article=1 Good man.
  15. QUOTE (Vance Law @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 10:51 AM) Not sure if you're joking or not. In case you weren't, Richar was traded for Griffey. Looks like an excellent group of candidates for a 1-2 yr stopgap at 2nd base until Beckam is ready. Hudson Grudz Durham Gooch Ellis too, but I imagine he'll command a longer contract. Furcal would be great, except I bet someone will offer more years than we do. His Richar mention was pre-trade.
  16. Check please. http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2008/08/02/report-...e-taking-money/
  17. Awesome name Karko's Throat Skin, and welcome. And my man crush on Griffey is increasing.
  18. I know there's no way he does this every night, but it's damn cool having Griff on the Sox. I've always loved the guy and that swing.
  19. Remember when everyone got face time and the awful disembodied voice?
  20. Congrats Rex; that's awesome that you're sticking with that.
  21. Pretty sweet movie, but it's not the GREATEST.MOVIE.I'VE.EVER.SEEN. The Joker was a really fun character; it's a shame they can't legitimately continue the story on with him. Also, it was awesome to see the city of Chicago used as heavily as it was for Gotham City in this one. I like the detail of having Gotham have Illinois-looking license plates.
  22. QUOTE (jackie hayes @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 04:31 PM) I suppose you've already asked this yrself, but it seems worth asking, just to be sure. The stuff with your car is actually bad, not just the typical oil change crap, right? Rear brakes are at the end of their line, drive belts, cover gasket and coolant lines are leaking, and tires. Unfortunately, the only thing I can get away with ignoring for an extended period of time is the tires.
