  1. Milwaukee Brewers' Prince Fielder has champagne poured onto him after the Brewers beat the Chicago Cubs 3-1 in a baseball game Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, in Milwaukee. The Brewers clinched the National League wild card after the New York Mets lost to the Florida Marlins after the Brewers' win.
  2. The banner from Game 4 of the WS.
  3. QUOTE (shipps @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 07:45 AM) This is probably the point of the season when I make the switch to really pulling for Northwestern instead of living and dieing by the Illini. The Illini defense is the worst in the Big Ten. IU says hi.
  4. IT'S AMAZING SOMETIMES WHAT A BUNT WILL DO!
  5. Happy birthday, Steff!
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 22, 2008 -> 11:05 AM) Tiger who? If you look at his track record, Tiger's never fared well in the Ryder Cup.
  7. QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 09:58 PM) Those Mac commercials make me hate macs... and so do mac enthusiasts who buy into the whole, "im cool cause I have a mac" bull. That reminded me of this...
  8. I have a good feeling about the series, but I just want to walk out of there in first place.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 06:09 PM) Sergio got owned by Kim. He and Andy Roddick need to be shipped out to the island of OVERRATED. The Ryder Cup is usually where Sergio puts on his Tiger mask and just runs it.
  10. I haven't started one of these this year. The magic number is now 5.
  11. They courted me insanely, but I personally wasn't up for the position. I do have two very good friends that are currently TFA, and they absolutely love it. It's definitely an outstanding program.
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2FklBE4Itc Dan Jiggets interviews Robin in his Nutty Professor costume at the 2:50 mark in the video.
  13. I just read this commencement speech he did in '05; great stuff. http://www.marginalia.org/dfw_kenyon_commencement.html
  14. Usually takes me 20-30 minutes to get to work; today took an hour and a half. Ridiculousness.
  15. A midi of Gravity by John Mayer.
  16. For some reason I'm enjoying the look of the empty ballpark.
  17. Urkel.
  18. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 13, 2008 -> 05:06 PM) Yeah, they should f***ing get rid of Hawk. DJ is the better announcer of the two, and it's seen when he does broadcasts on Fox, when he doesn't have to be that piece of s***'s lackey. I like having Stone come into the booth, but I'd much prefer him to be paired with DJ. Agreed. I appreciate what Hawk is and has done for the Sox, but I'm much more willing to turn the page on him than I am on DJ.
  19. From Arlington Heights, I drove to Niles to get my Illinois drivers license this morning. The roads were ridiculous. I took the most ridiculous route on my way back to avoid the river/roads.
  20. QUOTE (Texsox @ Sep 13, 2008 -> 02:28 PM) Stone is the bridge to the future, a future without Hawk. I'm a big fan of DJ, but that's the only way I will accept this move. We HAVE to be guaranteed Stone is here for the long haul. He kind of seems like the Larry Brown of the booth these past few years. It's not worth it, in my opinion, if it's only temporary (1-3 seasons).
  21. Two things: http://joecrede.ytmnd.com/ and
  22. QUOTE (Balance @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 07:11 PM) Where's the game? CSN+ is on "Mojo" on my cable, but they're showing some stupid show, not the game. Exactly what I was wondering.
