  1. --Thread Hi-jack-- I'm in the same boat with a different situation. I just got an oil change done on my car, and there were enough other things wrong with it that would cost probably more than my car's worth at the moment to fix (94 Altima). I'm less than two months into the real world, and I had absolutely no intentions of having the expense of a car on my plate this soon. And since the problems with my car aren't going to magically go away, I have to make a decision pretty much ASAP if I should pay for the repairs on my car or start looking at a new one (and new one = bottom of the line new, or the more likely case of buying a newer used car). I'm not excited about either option, being that if I pay for all the repairs on my car, it's not 100% guaranteed how much longer everything will last for. And the expense of a car payment isn't something I'll be able to handle with much ease, with just starting out. Bah.

  3. QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 04:31 PM) Lets make it 3-3 and get JD to NY!!!! We're not perfect in this thing. We've struck out with Frank and then Frank and Maggs. We've probably had the most players on this thing though.
  4. Heads can post in his thread legally now.
  5. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Jun 25, 2008 -> 08:55 PM) I was sold the Pacers would end up taking Augustin until this trade. I don't see why they would need him now with Ford and Tinsley around unless of course they do move Tinsley. Neither Ford/Tinsley are answers to the PG hole for Indy. The Pacers still need and will draft a PG. This trade was all about addition by subtraction, IMO. And Tinsley's not long for the team anymore, and if he is still on the team, he'll hardly be seen.
  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 23, 2008 -> 06:58 PM) Pssh. DJ's great. Agreed. DJ > Hawk. Also, the Cubs broadcasting team is pretty good, and I don't give a damn what the announcers look like.
  7. This will be on the top of the Billboard charts in no time. Rap by bsap11
  8. I just got done watching the April, May, June videos that 3E8 made of the '05 season; I f***ing love those things. I continue to appreciate '05 more and more.
  9. Haha, as others have said, so much for embellishing. Hell of a season, Tiger. He's already got 2008 player of the year on lock, and he's shutting it down with half of the season left.
  10. I can't think of many good athletes that don't get upset at themselves when they do something disappointing on the course/field/court. If you're going to get mad at Tiger for such, there's tons of other athletes/people you need to be disgusted with as well.
  11. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 16, 2008 -> 03:06 PM) Sorry, but if Tigers knee is that bad, would he really have dropped down to his knees like he just did??? I didn't get to see s***, thanks to work. But falling to the knees wouldn't compare the least bit to the torque the knee takes during a swing, etc.
  12. You can call the chip-in on #17 lucky, but I despise calling anything Tiger Woods does as "lucky". That's just insulting, especially considering he's playing on one leg right now. He earns everything he does.
  13. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Jun 11, 2008 -> 05:14 PM) Now no returning scholarship players. Has this ever happened in the history of college basketball? It'll be interesting to see 4 freshman and Kyle Taber, a senior walk-on, start next season. FWIW, Taber is on scholarship (was last year, as well). However, to reaffirm what you said, the only players that entered IU with scholarships on the team, will be freshmen. Yay.
