Report: Brett Favre to retire

2009 Madden Cover... -
It won't be the last of him, believe that. Kelso's got free muffins at Coffee Bucks for life.

Yeah, not a fan of tonight's episode. And that's depressing, considering Butters was somewhat of a focal point.
-
That would be cool and all*, but I hope it doesn't happen. I love Izzo at MSU, and I'm excited for the future of the conference, now that everyone has a quality coach at the helm. *Not a Bulls fan.

Happy birthday Gage!

My friends and I shoot around at the gym on weekend mornings. We'll sometimes play BASEketball.

QUOTE (Steff @ Apr 21, 2008 -> 05:10 PM) Frank did love to b**** about how he did NOT go elsewhere for more $$ and stayed with the Sox out of loyalty and love of the management. Damn him. As for clubhouse problems... I'm still waiting on an actual quote to validate that one. It seems every time a FT thread pops up someone posts about how horrible he was in the clubhouse yet it's never confirmed. You'd think for what a s*** he is supposed to have been there would be some shred of evidence. Good to have you back.

I do vaguely remember watching that show and liking it, though it was short-runned. I was younger though; I'd probably appreciate it more now.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 21, 2008 -> 09:59 AM) I've never seen season 1. What site are you seeing old episodes at? http://www.sidereel.com/How_I_Met_Your_Mother You have to deal with Asian subtitles, but you forget they're there pretty quickly.

Superbad and Juno are just okay to me honestly. Juno's got a good story, but the dialogue's just too weird for me.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 21, 2008 -> 12:06 PM) Swim in the East River. It's great for the back!

Sox on TV Twice Next week versus Yankees

QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 21, 2008 -> 09:57 AM) For the out of town sox fans, why wouldnt you get one of the MLB packages?I know I would have to do that instead of waiting for it to come on a local channel. But I guess Iam just that dedicated. It's only been something that's affected me while at school. The end of frosh/beginning of sophomore year (2005), a few of us on here had this MLB.tv account that didn't black anyone out, so we lucked out that year. That MLB.tv account ended up going defunct after that year, and I've been Gameday dependent the last couple April's and September's. I get all the Sox games at home, so it's never been an issue there. However, I will be moving to Chicago in a few weeks, so this will not be an issue anytime after that. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 21, 2008 -> 08:52 AM) Forgetting Sarah Mashall was absolutely hilarious. I think it's Judd's best to date (yes, better than 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, and Superbad). Right there with you. I might rank 40 Year Old a little bit higher, but I definitely like this better than Knocked Up and Superbad.

Funny it was mentioned in this thread, I've been on a HIMYM fix lately--watching the older episodes online. I've been a fan of the show, but I'm not sure I saw much of the first season--so I'm slowly getting myself totally up to speed.

Sox on TV Twice Next week versus Yankees

The worst is when you're not close enough to get CSN, but you're close enough to get blacked out on MLB.tv and ESPN games. -
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 11:48 PM) Saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall tonight. It was pretty solid, but different from Knocked Up, 40 Year Old Virgin, Superbad, ect. I do however have a brand new crush on Mila Kunis. What a babe. Oh, and the nudity in the movie consists of full nude shots of Segel, as well as a fake picture of Kunis flashing. The crudeness of the humor falls right in between Superbad and Knocked Up; however, this was probably my favorite of this series of movies. Absolutely hilarious.

I kind of wish I felt this; I slept straight through it.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 12:27 AM) We are SO on the same page. Haha wow, you went with the Old Greg sig. That video is so weird.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 16, 2008 -> 06:56 PM) Instructions to find Texas... Go West until you smell it, then go south until you step in it... Funny, that's the same exact approach you have to take to get to Purdue via Fort Wayne.

Tom Verducci: Appreciate Thomas and Griffey
greasywheels121 replied to Heads22's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (max power @ Apr 16, 2008 -> 01:22 AM) That is well over if you are supposed to be a journalist or an editor. Its a large error to call it almost 1100 when its ten+ past 1100. Its a stat I knew off the top of my head. That's pretty sad and I have no idea why you are defending this guy. Poor research, poor editing, poor general baseball knowledge. Its like he didn't care at all that frank has hit many home runs since eclipsing 500. He had to know that griffey is chasing 600, its all over the place. I have a feeling that the titles and sub-titles aren't on Verducci. The stat is stated correctly in the article, FWIW.
