  1. My left eye is over Dick Vitale's shoulder on ESPN.com's Men's Basketball page right now.
  2. QUOTE(Brian @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 10:15 AM) Just proving I'm the faster Saluki. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=63729 Which is still slower than a Hoosier. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?s=...t&p=1601427

  5. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 06:50 AM) Wow, there's a name I haven't seen for quite awhile. What the hell has he been up to? Happy B-Day, anyways. http://www.insidethehall.com/
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 02:14 AM) South Park had the best fight scene in the history of fight scenes tonight. It'd be ironic if that ended up on Youtube, zingggggg. And also that Butters video is apparently a spoof of a real thing, and not just some random video...
  7. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 2, 2008 -> 12:28 PM) I want an outside take on this question, because I think my perception is much too isolated and close to the situation: Is Marquette really a good enough program to lure someone like Miller away from Xavier? Or, speaking more generally, where does Marquette rank in the country -- when taking everything into account, i.e. practice facilities, potential $$$, tradition, recruiting-prospects, whatever else you want to base it on -- as far as basketball programs? I'm just trying to get a gage on just how appealing (or 'not' appealing) the vacancy may look to people not so close to the program (i.e. people who probably have a tad more objectivity than I may have)? For what it's worth, he turned down Indiana. It's uncertain if the reasoning was the circumstances, the spotlight, or what have you.
  8. Press Conference is minutes away from starting. Here's the official press release, stating Crean will be paid $18.24M over 8 years. http://iuhoosiers.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl.../040208aab.html
  9. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 1, 2008 -> 07:23 PM) Tom Crean, Unfrozen Caveman Coach I prefer this, if he's going to be poked fun at.
  10. Thanks for the report Keith. The more I'm reading, the more and more I'm liking the hire. It's nice to know that Crean will definitely be able to take the reins on things, which IU desperately needs after everything that happened this season. This is almost my biggest concern at the moment, as I have mentioned earlier. I don't want IU to become what the Pacers are now. I think he'll be able to work his way in fine into the state recruiting scene, as he clearly has made some recruiting splashes in the state at both Marquette and at Michigan State in his assistant role. Looks like the press conference is set for 11 AM tomorrow; unfortunately, it doesn't look like this one is going to be public like the one held for Sampson two years ago. ---- Also, good to see that the recruits are behind the hire. Another interesting note is that Terrell Holloway, IU commit until Sampson left, had Marquette as his leader. Maybe this hire will have him back in Bloomington next season.
  11. QUOTE(Hat Eater @ Apr 1, 2008 -> 08:06 PM) ...ever heard of Peegs? They represent you all well. Just like IlliniBoard represents everything Illini fans stand for, right? Please... Go eat a hat.
  12. QUOTE(Hat Eater @ Apr 1, 2008 -> 07:58 PM) Lateral move for Crean at best. He's stepping into a program that's in shambles. And a nice big serving of humble pie for the Cream and Crimson idiots. Way to make a splash. Fine coach. Nothing to write home about. So much for having the most coveted vacancy in all of sports, huh? I don't recall anyone saying it was "the most coveted vacancy in all of sports" but you just now.
  13. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Apr 1, 2008 -> 07:49 PM) He was rumored to be in the running when Sampson was hired, wasn't he? It will be interesting now because IU has almost nothing left of their team... DJ White, gone Gordon, gone The two idiots who got suspended today, gone. Who's left? Crawford, McGee, Taber, Thomas, and Fink are expected returners from this year's team. Matt Roth and Tom Pritchard intended on coming to IU next year, regardless of the situation. AB and Ellis aren't 100% gone from next year's team. However, if they are, IU is without all five of their primary starters from this season (Lance Stemler was a senior as well). I'm happy to see that Crean's known to be a strong disciplinarian since IU's tried to become Pacers-lite off the court this season.
  14. Keith, tell me everything you can on the guy. Our team is in the biggest shambles for me to be too ecstatic about anything IU basketball at the moment. I'm pleased with the hire, not excited or disappointed though.
  15. Disappointed with that attempt, but a hell of a run. Here we go, first time with four #1's.
  16. 1. North Carolina 1. Kansas 1. Memphis 1. UCLA
  17. QUOTE(jenks45monster @ Mar 28, 2008 -> 05:56 PM) Why do you have to make a big deal out of a simple mistake? I don't think he was personally going at you. I bet he thought the typos were from a copy/paste of the quote in the book; I thought the same thing initially. However, after checking the actual article online, I noticed it was your's. No biggy.
