  1. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 3, 2008 -> 10:02 PM) You stay classy Bill.... He's a role model.
  2. :headbang :headbang f*** YES GMEN!!!! ELIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII :headbang :headbang YOU ARE DONE PATRIOTS-WOOOOOO!!!!
  3. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 3, 2008 -> 03:58 PM) Almost no interest in the game. Probably have it on in the background while I do other things - so I can watch the commercials. Took this from another thread. This has been kind of said here, but the majority of people I talk to don't give a damn about this year's Super Bowl. The Super Bowl! It almost seems like most people are watching it out of obligation. People go out of their way to watch a golf tournament, because Tiger Woods is playing.
  4. Tiger Woods is a f***ing champ. http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/news/story?id=3228463 He was down four strokes, after losing his lead yesterday. What's he do? Shoots a 7-under 65, including a 25 foot birdie on 18 to win the Dubai by one stroke.
  5. Got a party to go to if I want. I'm still in heavy debate mode; I've got some stupid bug that is killing me.
  6. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Feb 2, 2008 -> 11:18 AM) I think Veeck should get one. Didn't he actually save the franchise? I think it will be Harold. Guillen may get one as well. Who are they playing June 20th? July 20th--the KC Royals! :headbang
  7. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jan 30, 2008 -> 02:11 PM) So would everybody who would rather be Woods than Brady because of the money rather be Michael Jackson than John Mayer? My reasoning isn't about money. Some may even say it's because I'm a Colts fan, making this question no contest (since Brady is one of the options). I'd still rather be Tiger over Peyton. Hell, you all know how I am about Frank; I'd be Tiger over him any day too.
  8. I'm not sure what the deal is. NBC did have on their Scrubs page for weeks (and even for a few days after the date) that it was returning with new episodes on January 24th (last Thursday). Obviously that didn't happen. As far as I understand, they've only aired 6 episodes of what is (was?) supposed to be the final season consisting of 18 episodes. There's supposed to be five more episodes that they completed before the strike, so that takes us up to episode 11. Who knows when they'll be aired, but this wouldn't be the first time NBC f***s Scrubs over. It's so unfortunate though. Everyone on the show went into this season finally knowing that this was the final year, and they were going to be able to end the story and everything on their own terms. And then what happens? The writers strike! Sad stuff.
  9. It's been a while since I've caught PTI, but it's still the best thing ESPN has. http://thebiglead.com/?p=4369 Apparently, Wilbon suffered a mild heart attack yesterday morning; here's to a speedy recovery.
  10. Pathetic. They destroyed us on the boards, and we were playing way too much one on one--not an effective way to get points with the players we have. And that snaps a 29 game winning streak at home, that dates back to the end of my sophomore year here. I thought I'd get out of here without seeing another loss at Assembly, so much for that. We've got a great shot at losing two straight here now too, with us going to Wisconsin on Thursday.
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 25, 2008 -> 05:30 PM) Al Davis is seemingly trying to force Lane Kiffin to resign without having to fire him. Yeah, this will end well. Al Davis:Raiders::Fidel Castro:Cuba Al Davis, you are f***ing pathetic.
  12. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article....RTICLE_ID=59822 "F--- Notre Dame," "F--- Touchdown Jesus" and finally "F--- Jesus."
  13. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jan 22, 2008 -> 10:52 AM) I will say this -- Brady is a little more than sore. I don't know what's wrong with him but he's awfully ginger right now, according to reports and the video. I'll bet he's fine for the Bowl and more than good enough, but I am a little worried. That's what I do, though. Worry. I can't wait for this season to end and I won't have to worry about their record Everybody's sore at this point of the season.
  14. It's pointless here though. Who in their right minds would expect Brady or anybody to miss this game because they're "sore"?
  15. Tony Dungy's officially coming back next year! It's probably his last year, but they'll re-assess the situation at the end of next year. It's also official that Jim Caldwell will be Dungy's successor whenever he decides to step down.
  16. Saw Juno last night. Awesome stuff; you really get sucked into that story.
  17. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jan 19, 2008 -> 06:06 PM) Why because of the Gordon thing? Because they were good a few years ago? Because they have whiny fans and you deal with them regularly on message boards? I just don't see it being anything more than temporary. Illinois is like the little brother that just won't leave you alone. He'll put up a good fight on occasion and won't ever go away, but you still don't take him completely seriously. Over the long run, Illinois is not one of IU's principal rivalries. As I said in the next post, I don't feel that they're a primary rival for the long run. And sure, this board effects the way I view Illinois. However, my friends don't post or even know what ST is, and they feel the same way I do. I agree that they're not a principal rival.
  18. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Jan 19, 2008 -> 06:01 PM) nope, this is just a joke on heads. Iowa State views kansas as a huge rivalry. Kansas views Iowa State as a team from buttf*** Iowa. A rivarly game has both sides view each other as natural rivals. Heh, at least from my perspective, your definition fits what IU-UI is at the moment. Who knows how long this will last though.
