Or not... I've got to disagree with you a bit Rex. Yes, Purdue and Kentucky are our primary rivals--always will be. However, I consider Illinois to be a huge rival in the past few years. And I know I'm not the only one to feel that way on campus, not by a long shot. -

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 19, 2008 -> 05:50 PM) Can you clarify what you're saying here? I take this as a real pot-stirring comment and, if you're saying that Indiana fans don't view Illinois as a rivalry, I'd find that laughable, although there's a decent chance I'm misreading it. I read it as him saying IU-UI is a rivalry, by Jimbo's definition. -

I'm not trying to discount anything you guys did last night Felix. I kind of avoid posting much on here anymore, so you wouldn't have known this, but I was really afraid going into last night's game. Indiana's lost 7 of their last 10 in ther Barn, prior to last night. A lot of those were bad Minnesota teams being more talented Indiana teams. From my spectating from afar, this Minnesota team was going to be well coached, ready to play, and was going to have a better shot at hanging with IU than any of those previous teams that had won did. Tubby's got Minnesota looking really solid, and if you guys made one less mistake here or there, you guys would have easily had the W last night. I'm glad that Tubby's in the Big Ten now, as it further legitamizes our conference that is always having down years. However, that could be a bad thing, because it's just going to make it that much harder to find success in the conference. -
Solid move, despite the recent injuries. Dotel's always been a name I've thrown around here in the past about wanting him on our staff. This is later than I ever expected it to happen, but I still like the signing. I see this being a very low risk, high reward type deal.

I just made them all the same size as the Josh Fields pic: ------ I tried putting the one above in your sig, but it shrunk it down to the percentage where you have to click the magnifying glass to see it at 100%. So, I had to make it a lot smaller than I anticipated; hopefully that's kosher.

Exactly, the refs may have been terrible, but that was afflicting both sides of the court--Indiana wasn't getting any calls either. These refs swallowed their whistles several times on what should have been Minnesota turnovers, and a few of our's shouldn't have been turnovers with the muggings that resulted. Oh well, that's Big Ten officiating--fantastic. No matter how ugly it is, I'm ecstatic to get out of the Barn with a W, because we've never fared well in Minny. It's not easy to win on the road in this conference, and we've already got ourselves three conference road W's (the same number we finished with last season). We've got a solid opportunity to stretch our record now with three home games next week (Penn State, Iowa, and UConn). -
QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jan 16, 2008 -> 10:29 AM) Any Sonic commercial with the bald guy in glasses--just hate those commercials. Plus, there isn't a Sonic within 300 miles on me. HA the Sonic commercials don't annoy me too much, but I always say the same thing to my friends. I've never seen a Sonic or Jack in the Box, yet I always see their ads. WTF.

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 08:06 PM) They've proven they aren't a great much more than they are one. Let's face it, the only decent tourney team they've played is Xaiver, who wiped the floor on a neutral court with them. Now they've recently struggled against poor teams in Illinois(Who is a good team in terms of the rest of the schedule)and Iowa. My guess is one of their fans will remind me of a certain game, but that is only an indication on far they are reaching there. So all these games may be no indication of anything, but IU certainly has not proved they are a great team, or even a good one. There is a reason they have the lowest RPI of one loss teams by ten spots...their resume is just horrible right now. Even worse than the often critisized Wazzu's and Vandy's. Yes, we've played a weak non-conference schedule--we still have UConn remaining at the end of the month. However, you would usually assume a non-conference slate with Illinois State, Xavier, Georgia Tech, Southern Illinois, and Kentucky would be fairly respectable. However, basically all of those teams are having horrid years beyond expecation. -
I don't know how you got lucky with the Groundskeeper thing, but I can only change PA to Bank Farters, if that's what you want.

I wouldn't be against it, but I'm crazy.

I'm definitely pulling for OSU, though I'm not expecting much. It'd be great for the Big Ten to get this. -
