  1. I love the vibe of this show so much. I have of course have seen the movies hit/miss in different ways, but this makes me very curious about the ventures I've never seen - (i.e. The Clone Wars, etc.).
  2. Outside of the way he represented himself as not being racist, he deserves credit for responding well.
  3. What's up, Fellas! Been too long. I'd check in on rare occasion over the years, but the excitement of this Sox season pulled me into being a daily lurker again just to see what the masses were thinking/saying about the happenings with our beloved. It's funny, I probably had not logged in like over 6 years! It's great to see this place still humming along and many of the familiar names from back in the day.
  4. Hello, Old Friends - Maybe this could be lumped into the mega-covid thread; however, I'm going side piece here - With the weather turning or will be soon enough to minimize/eliminate what I consider to be the outdoor freedom from this new way of living, what plans/routines/goals do you have for the winter months? I'm already feeling like my train is slipping off the tracks a bit with such. I'm an early morning workout person, and I'll run/walk as much as I can outside. However, the joy/pleasure of such is not the same when it's dark/cold. We got a rower for the basement, and I have a couple of kettlebells and resistance bands (#lean/mean gym) to utilize as well. Anyway, looking for some inspiration/motivation/ideas from the fine ST crowd. LMK what you've got planned or are doing.
  5. This guy. Courtesy the MSN tab on my work computer - http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/atlanta-rapper-silento-charged-with-driving-143-mph/ar-BB1apse7?ocid=ientp
  6. There's the greatest Jeremy Reed fan ever known! I've popped through without logging in on occasion, and I've been lurking with greater frequency with the excitement of this last season. Despite all the changes in social media/interaction, I love seeing this place still running strong, and it's been great seeing all the old regulars in action throughout everything.
  7. I feel compelled to reply to this. ? That's one of those calls very close, you could totally justify it going either way. Very happy with the outcome, and though I was texting my friends the offense wasn't ready to go for 2 etc., kudos to Allen for going for it.
  8. Peanut butter always. Favorite not good for you meal is fried chicken + biscuits and honey.
  9. Congrats, Frank! I'll be making my first trip to Cooperstown this July!
  10. So this is now happening.
  11. Happy belated to the mighty one!
  12. Does or has anyone lived there? Good things about the area? Bad things about the area? I may have a job offer for a position up there, and we're considering our options.
  13. Chicagoland Comcast: 189: CBS 204: TNT 219: TBS 320: TRU
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 07:02 AM) how f***ing awful is this magician movie gonna be? Shameful that a movie with Jim Carrey and Steve Carell doesn't look worth the time.
  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 20, 2013 -> 07:34 PM) Check out the ugly italian we run out there, Amedeo Della Valle. Not necessarily ugly, but my favorite is the big guy on Nebraska, Andre Almeida.
  16. Another vote for Hal Higdon here. I've used Higdon plans and based my own running plans off of his for the halfs and fulls that I've run.
  17. You can get the spicy effect you're going for in a lot healthier way in some crushed red. I'll put that on my veggies, when I'm looking to mix it up.
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 23, 2013 -> 04:18 PM) I'm taking my wife there this weekend, actually. Are any of them open on the weekends? I tried taking my wife to one, after discovering it for lunch while doing jury duty, and the place was closed on weekends.
  19. I was eyeing that earlier this week, maggsmaggs. Hope it's a good time! We're going to a dinner and late comedy show in our suburban town. Looking forward to it being a low key night. -- I have to say NYE is one my least favorite holidays. You always feel obligated to do something, and you usually end up disappointed with what you do or don't do. And that is why 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, as I don't feel an obligation to do something, but I always have ended up doing something and had the best time.
  20. Our biggest resolution/goal is to see our friends more. So many of our best friends are scattered around the Midwest, but they're all close enough to make weekend trips out of it and not have to use a lot or any vaca time. Like you Justin, I'd love to bulk up a little bit, especially in the arms. I've got a marathoner body, and I want more of a sprinter body. It's a challenging piece for me, as running will always be my favorite and go-to exercise, and I know that will only continually keep me slim. Also, I lost a lot of weight living this way, and watching what/when I eat (vs. eating garbage or because I was bored, etc.). As a former fatty, It's tough to think I have to eat more to achieve my new goal.
  21. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 21, 2012 -> 10:14 PM) Blum, Ozuna, Harris, Widger. GROUP FOURRRRRR
