I absolutely hate this. This is the first time that a IU basketball coach has been sanctioned for his actions while head coach at IU. This is probably minor in terms of violations, but a violation is a violation. IU's never had its name tied to stuff like this, and for Sampson to put more dirt to his name after honing up to the past mistakes at OU and saying that wasn't going to happen in Bloomington is pathetic.

Current 2008 commits Devin Ebanks, Derek Elston and Matt Roth, and potential recruits Dexter Strickland, Jacob Jenkins, Jordan Prosser, Kevin Jones, Lance Stephenson, Nolan Dennis, Ray McCallum Jr, and Stephan Van Treese are all expected to be in attendance for Hoosier Hysteria tonight. I saw Ebanks when I was leaving Assembly Hall a little bit earlier today.

Pretty pumped--I won a seat at the "Opening Day with Coach Kelvin Sampson" breakfast tomorrow morning, which is a part of the American Cancer Society Coaches vs. Cancer. Only downside is that it starts at 6:30 AM, but it'll be a great event and way to kick of the basketball season.
