Anyone else change or think about changing careers
QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 04:27 PM) unless something comes out, i'll probably be at another b**** job this summer. I'll probably be doing the same, but I do know I won't be going back to the grocery. If these don't go through; I'm probably going to be working at a country club golf course. Decent wage and tips just for driving and cleaning carts. It'd sure beat stocking and bagging groceries.

Arby's glove
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) Speaking of those two. Is anyone else starting to get annoyed by those to guys. I see the commercial everytime I watch PTI (my favorite show), and I still laugh at it occasionaly.

Ha what weird timing about this. I just sent out a few letters today concerning internships for the summer.

More baserunners this season??
QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 12:50 PM) We're getting to that punchy, over-analytical point now. Thank goodness that pitchers & catchers report in 8 days. I'd much rather have something to discuss that has actually happened, rather than speculation and guesswork. 8 days, 1 hour 6 minutes and counting....

More baserunners this season??
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) I know Maggs and Lee's production can't be replaced, but like I said in another thread last night, this lineup is now deeper and there shouldn't be any major holes in it. That's how the Twinkies won this division over the past few seasons (besides their great pitching). Exactly. I still have trouble seeing how we'll miss Maggs though. The offense never changed with the absence of Maggs last year. We still had our 40 run night, followed by a 2-0 shutout even w/out Maggs. So I'm happy to see the deeper lineup minus Maggs.

The French have one thing going for them
QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 10:58 AM) There's a definite politically incorrect response to make here. Just saying.

Maggs real health status from him and his agent
QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 10:40 AM) ANd if Mags puts up numbers like he has in the past.. who is the dumb one? The Tigers. Vlad puts up better numbers in every offensive category, and he makes less money. Maggs isn't worth what they're paying them.

Man...that's the hottest news anchor I've ever seen, and you guys are talking about frog legs?! What's wrong w/ you guys?

QUOTE(3E8 @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 11:43 PM) Bob Rohrman is the devil. Holy hell he is. He's been scaring me since I can remember. He owns the midwest or something. This is the one picture of him on the net....

Williams baffled by parting shots
Of course this article won't get much play in the media. They only listen to what they want to hear, but it's nice to see KW and JR are above all of this.

Parting shots from Maggs
Maggs has definitely made it easy to accept him as the enemy the way he left Chicago. I'm glad this team has moved him on. I think we'd still have a lot of question marks if Maggs was here; he would be one of them. We definitely wouldn't have a roster even close to what we have now.

When Maggs comes to the Cell
He'll get booed. A-Rod did.

What does it mean when their faces are red? Sometimes they just seem to be red for no reason.

Bad Bill...
QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) The Boondocks cartoon in my sig echos my feelings about the Cosby situation. Its really unfortunate. Agreed. I said it in another thread, I don't remember why. But the Cosby Show has become my favorite show in college. I never watched it until now. I absolutely love watching it during lunch.

Official Superbowl XXXIX Thread
QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) How bout Brett Favre doesn't pull a sharpie out of his ass or get his ass laid out at mid field at Texas stadium after a td. That's in the past. What exactly did T.O. do in Philly to be labeled selfish?

Official Superbowl XXXIX Thread
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 10:59 PM) Anyone see the interview with T.O. He was talking about how the media was calling him selfish but he said if it was Favre they would have called him a warrior. Honestly, I can't argue with that. I didn't see that. However, that's very true; I don't know how they can say what he did was selfish. Ex..MNF game last year against Oakland.

Congrats Pats
QUOTE(Yoda @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 10:29 PM) Why make a Congrats Pats thread when there’s already 2 Super Bowl threads in this very same Sports bar forum? Bandwith's free.

QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 10:23 PM) Wow Terell Owens went over 100 yards with one of his legs on the verge of gangrene! Who else thinks injury exagerration will be talked about tommorow. There was no exaggeration. They wouldn't scheme for a 6 weeks in the future for IF they made the Super Bowl. That's ludicrous.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 10:03 PM) The last time there were comments like this, Warren Holloway ran under a 55 yard pass for a TD as time expired. Deja vu...Kinda.
