Josh Smith to the NBA
Eh...he left us hanging forever...but I wasn't surprised....IU did sign this 7 footer from Cali that's supposed to be really good. He chose IU over 'Zona and UCLA.

Biggest surprise so far this season
Sorry...but... http://www.soxtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=17599

Biggest surprise?
I enjoyed the Chisox.com's attempt at comedy with the last selection, so I had to throw this up here for the ones that don't visit the other site.

Things that make me happy about baseball
I know exactly what you guys mean about that "feeling"......The field just looks 10000000000 times better in person, and it's so awesome to experience and watch a game in that kind of atmosphere...I'm getting chills now!

about frank
Yep...He's in for a short stint towards the beginning. He just is hitting a few HR's in BP, he's more of an extra if anything.

Gammons on the White Sox....
Exactly. We always complain about not getting enough national media attention. Gammons, though he may not be the most reliable source when it comes to trades, etc.....he's a great source for national media attention for our Sox.

about frank
He's the reason I ever became a Sox fan...He's the greatest Sox player.

Mariotti column today
The problem I have with Mariotti writing this article is he only focuses on the negative when he decides to write about the White Sox one of his 5 times a year. I mean the Cubs aren't off to the great start they were expected to, and the recent titles of Mariotti's columns have been: Part-time Prior may be enough for Cubs, State of the Cubs a pressing issue at highest levels, Maddux cool despite a ragged re-debut, Baker needs to dust off Prior problem, etc..etc..... He somehow can write positive articles for a fourth place team...

Call it a hunch
Mags deserves it, and this would be excellent timing. With all that we've been hearing about this, I could see you being right Jason. We need a staple like Mags in this lineup for years to come.

any word on Frank yet?
Here's from Chisox.com...

New Starter in the Yank Series
It was enough to get us the win.... Plus, this time we have Buerhle on the bump. We'll be fine.

New Starter in the Yank Series
We took care of DePaula without seeing him before on the road.

Are you satisfied?
How can anyone be satisfied? Loaiza gave up 2 hits today! Hell yeah I'm satisfied. I think this is a great place to be going into the longest homestand of the season. Let's really break away from the rest of the AL Central these next few weeks.

Oh No!!!!!!!!
And now I see why they signed Maddux..... 7-7 now...
-
New Starter in the Yank Series
They were relying on Jon Leiber to be in the starting rotation to start out '0, and he didn't come through.

2nd Sunday of Easter Game Thread
3.23 ERA for Loaiza now...w/ that lovely 3-0 record...... All the critics were right, Loaiza will never have another season like 2003. He'll have a better one.

2nd Sunday of Easter Game Thread
Game. Set. Match. Chisox have exercised some Jerry Manuel demons by winning a series in Tampa Bay. Nice job by E-Lo; a CG shutout w/ 2 hits, w/ 5 K's, and 1 BB.

2nd Sunday of Easter Game Thread
Let Loaiza try to go the distance, he's just mowing them down right now.
-
2nd Sunday of Easter Game Thread
If he can continue at this pace. He's at 90 pitches through 7.

2nd Sunday of Easter Game Thread
Nice...E-Lo comes back w/ the K. I really want to see Loaiza get the CG shutout to shutup the critics on what his success will be in 2004.

Paintballing
Same here. I'm terrible, but once the HS baseball season is over, that's all I play.
