Clemens back to the Yankees
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ May 6, 2007 -> 07:18 PM) June 4-7. Yankees @ White Sox. I hope Roger pitches, and I hope the Sox beat the royal piss out of him. The last time the Sox played against a Yankee Clemens was fun. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NY...200308260.shtml

Sorry Brian, but I guess I'm boring. I wouldn't mind seeing it happen. However, I doubt it will happen too quickly. We'll see.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNNER!!!
Wait, what? Congrats to Jonathon for getting his first W--it definitely wasn't the first time he deserved it.

QUOTE(Balance @ May 5, 2007 -> 11:03 AM) Solid episode this week. Loved the dream sequences. Who all wants things to turn around for JD? Show of hands? I'll holla. Things should get interesting, as I know Kim is still supposed to be in more episodes this season, and there's only 3 episodes left in the season.- Films
Alright, just got back from watching it for a second time. I'm much more satisfied with this movie on the second viewing. It was much easier to process what was going on, and I was able to pick up on much more. However, now with better understanding, I have one gripe with the movie. I didn't really like the Sandman. His story's just out of place in this. It could be fixed by making this movie longer, explaining his story a little better, etc. or just saving him for another movie.- Official 2006-2007 NBA Discussion Thread
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 4, 2007 -> 10:06 AM) Oh well that's not good, especially in a draft this good. I assume that means you traded a pick but had top 10 protection on it, are the odds at least realistic it'll be a top 10 pick? Pretty slim--I've always seen our pick end up from 11-14. We ended up wasting our first rounder on getting Harrington. So that was retarded.- Official 2006-2007 NBA Discussion Thread
Problem: Pacers don't have a draft pick, unless the lottery balls put us in the top 10.- Official 2006-2007 NBA Discussion Thread
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 4, 2007 -> 09:50 AM) The whole point of my argument is Pacer fans should be pissed at how badly they were fleeced in that trade, to be honest. SJax is a bad guy, but to get Dunleavy and Murphy for Harrington AND Jackson is horrid. I wasn't expecting a king's ransom for those two. Though his numbers haven't been stellar, I think the Pacers will really benefit from Diogu. SJax put the Pacers in a horrible spot, just as Artest did--giving the Pacers nothing to work with as far as a deal. However, I will give you that the Pacers didn't get equal talent back in the trade.- Films
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 4, 2007 -> 06:47 AM) Didn't Tobey say this was his last one? I saw him on the Daily Show the other day, and he didn't say no, but he didn't say yes either. He probably just went to the same school Mark Buehrle did.- Official 2006-2007 NBA Discussion Thread
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 4, 2007 -> 01:26 AM) Are the Pacers fans still glad they made that trade and got rid of Jackson? 7 for 8 from downtown, a 1 man wrecking crew during the fatal run. At least they have a better group of character guys due to the 8 player rapeage....errr deal. I guess I've become your new Curt Schilling obsession--grrrreat. I will never regret trading SJax, so yes. I won't even regret it, if they win a ring. That wasn't going to happen here. You're a dumbass if you think otherwise.- Films
Just saw Spiderman. I f***ing loved it. I will admit there is a little bit of corny when Peter turns bad, but it doesn't ruin it. The story bounces around A LOT, but it's not hard to follow. All the enemies were bad ass. I really liked what they did w/ Harry and being the second Green Goblin--the action and fight scenes were really sweet. This message is completely incoherent, but I don't care. All I know is I will be seeing this movie multiple times.- The Official [SCRUBS] Thread
The cold shower premise was really solid. This was a pretty classic episode--with some solid laughs and a heart-tugger at the end.- Catch-All Anything Thread
I don't really like 'My Name is Earl', but this Rudy-esque episode was awesome.- The Official [SCRUBS] Thread
ABC is reportedly going to pick it up, if NBC doesn't. We'll find out in a couple of weeks.- Happy Birthday abound!

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 3, 2007 -> 09:07 AM) Who else is pumped for Spiderman? Watched the first Tuesday night, and the second last night. Tonight at 12:01, I will be watching the third.- White Sox loser
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 2, 2007 -> 06:01 PM) So do people still think a pitcher's W/L record means anything? Hope not.- Federer, Nadal do 'Battle of Surfaces'
This is pretty cool. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/tenn...l.ap/index.html- SSR: Brian Anderson, Jim Thome, NBA Playoffs
That new player is pretty sweet; nice work with that. And I have to echo what everyone else said, your voice definitely sounded different in this week’s show. Crazy soccer story—I’m glad the napkin saved your life. I agree with Dan, Buehrle definitely won’t be a Cy Young contender. However, I think we’ll get a solid year out of him—we’ll get 15-18 wins and an ERA around 4.00. Obviously I’m listening to this after the fact, but I agree with your point about BA. He was amazing on defense. He’s just been horrid with the bat. It’ll be interesting to see how he does in Charlotte, because as you said Dan, he’s regressed—and there wasn’t much to regress from. I’ll be shocked to see him in a Sox uniform ever again. I agree about what you said about Sweeney and Fields. I’d hate to have them sit on our bench, without getting any ABs. That’s going to do them no good at all. I will also be surprised if we see much from Gavin Floyd. We obviously got rid of Freddy at the right time (at least that’s what it appears at the moment); however, I don’t think we’ll get anything out him either. It’s nice to have Gio back though. Also, I do feel Danks has done a good job in exceeding expectations so far. He’s kept us in ball games, regardless what his numbers say right now. If our offense could even pretend to be average, he’d have multiple wins under his belt. I would love to hear a 24/7-365 show. Haha, the Gage bloody shirt—that’d be a quality ESPN story. I like your WS prediction Dan; unfortunately, I think you might have nailed what it could end up being. I agree with what you said about basketball Gage. The NBA’s fallen off big time in my eyes the past few years. Great show this week guys. Dan, nice job in your debut—hopefully this isn’t your only week on the show.- Anybody ever see that many bloop hits

QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 02:33 PM) Even if they lose Jermaine O'Neal this offseason? He was being a smart ass--he doesn't mean what he said. And JO isn't really going to lead the Pacers anywhere anytime soon, Bill Simmons made an excellent point about him a couple of weeks ago:- 1B/DH (speculative)
