  1. QUOTE(bmags @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:40 PM) Honestly, the big breakdown is the school not cancelling classes after the first death in the dorm halls. And the response to the second shooting. however, I just don't know any policy changes that would "secure" a college campus. It isn't like a high school where you could "lock it down", its open campus with 25 different buildings, tons of students, theres no way to regulate flow of students in and out of classrooms. Imagine if they went in a huge lecture hall! I just don't see any policy changes that would help. That's the scary thing. College campuses are incredibly vulnerable for these types of events.

  3. And the Pacers are finally eliminated from the playoffs. What a joke of a team. We're not even going to get draft picks this year, since we're not lottery-bad.
  4. Lil Romeo to USC. http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/6681512
  5. I'm guessing this won't be less than $200, but Grandstand has it. http://www.grandstandsox.com/store/view_pr...oduct=WHIZTOOI3

  7. To being over .500 for the first time in 2007!
  8. I thought this was cool.
  9. That's amazing that you can find something like that on the net. The world wide web is a beautiful thing.
  10. I don't have any problems w/ Firefox and Soxtalk. Are you running the latest version?
  11. PARTY ALL THE TIME! Last night was pretty good. I like how the Laverne story lingered into this week's episode. A lot of shows would've been done and over with it last week.
  12. I like this a lot. This line's got more punch to it.
  13. This team's really looking like 2005.
  14. There's going to be a Frank Thomas pillow night in September for a Blue Jays game, in response to this ad.
  15. I saw this last night; pretty solid stuff.
  16. Have a good one!
  17. This team is really sharp right now. Pods is really kicking ass right now, and it's great to see Contreras bounce back in his second start.
  18. QUOTE(Rooftop Shots @ Apr 9, 2007 -> 10:39 PM) Anybody know what Toronto's Main newspaper is, and a number/address that I could obtain to be able to call in order to purchase a newspaper when he hits number 500? I have over 700 different Frank Thomas baseball cards, and The Suntimes paper when he hit number 400. Also, still have a VHS tape of the game when he hit number 400. Would like to add Toronto's paper when he hits number 500 to the collection someday. I'm sure he'll be on their front cover. Thanks!!! http://www.thestar.com/ The Toronto Star, One Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario M5E 1E6. The main telephone number is 416-367-2000
  19. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 9, 2007 -> 06:55 PM) Why am I evil? You said that's what you were when you picked the Indians for the WC.
  20. Ahhh, now the season is officially underway that I got to listen to the greatness that is the podcast. I agree that Contreras isn’t our ace, Gage. However, I don’t think I’ve heard that he was, maybe I’m not paying attention close enough. However, I wouldn’t give that edge to him. I don’t know if we have that “ace” on our team, but I like our staff as a whole. I agree that we’re a power team, and this team needs to be able to manufacture runs during those times where the power’s not there. We’ve got to decrease the dependency to score our runs on the home runs. Erstad’s been great so far. He seems like he’s definitely going to be a positive signing for the Sox, proving a lot of people wrong. I agree with Mario though. If Pods begins to struggle (which surprisingly hasn’t happened yet), Erstad has move over to LF. I don’t feel entirely comfortable with him in CF everyday. LMAO Gage about the Tigers and Twins during the predictions. Heads, you’re an evil bastard. Well done guys, good to have you back reppin’ the Southside. And I’m looking forward to the radio page and archives.
  21. QUOTE(Wedge @ Apr 9, 2007 -> 01:59 PM) So wait, is Luc gay? It says "partner" and not spouse. or girlfriend... just curious. http://www.thewest.com.au/default.aspx?Men...ContentID=25576
  22. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 8, 2007 -> 08:42 PM) That's actually a rather interesting point. I always figured they had some African descent somewhere, but what do we call a black man? If you saw Contreras walking down the street, you'd probably think he was black or "African American." And it's a question that comes up everywhere. In politics (see: Obama, for instance) and in school (see: kids being picked on for not "Acting black") and all over. Very interesting idea, but probably not fit for this forum. SoxAce: Glad Baines is wearing it. I was going to suggest that he and Raines do, too. Raines isn't here anymore.
  23. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 8, 2007 -> 07:11 PM) Please tell me that Bonds will be wearing 24. Crap, he will be wearing it. I'd rather have any honest player wear the number before him. The Cubs have 4 players wearing the number. I wonder if Thomas will be wearing it for the Blue Jays. Yeah, Frank is, along w/ Vernon Wells, Royce Clayton, and hitting coach Mickey Brantley
