  1. Solid premiere; that opening was one of the best ever. And here's a preview of the musical episode. I'm not sure when it airs. Straight from ZB: "It highlights Turk and JD's gayest moments."

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 30, 2006 -> 07:18 PM) I am looking at the case of that game right now. "Virtua Tennis" was the name of the game. Without a doubt one of the best sports games ever. I was always Tim Henman.
  4. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Nov 30, 2006 -> 05:55 PM) I'm surprised nobody's checked out that link. It's incredible. It is good; I actually have had it in my bookmarks before you posted it. QUOTE(Balance @ Nov 30, 2006 -> 06:05 PM) "I love Scrubs!" /Hawk Voice I, too, am worried that the whole pregnancy thing will cause this show to "jump the shark," but I'm hoping that they can pull it off. I think they should be able to. Bill Lawrence (the show's creator) has mentioned in recent interviews that one of his favorite shows is "Everybody Loves Raymond," and he notes that they only showed the kids on their seven or eight times.
  5. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 30, 2006 -> 04:45 PM) I can't see it working with out JD, but I can see it working. I hate when actors ditch a show...Braff doesn't have a lot going on without this show. "the last kiss" was mediocre at best. I think he's in the George Clooney category of not being permanently cast as the guy from that medical show. He's got a ton of time. Stick with the show and then call it quits when everyone else leaves. Yeah, I honestly just want to see him come back for season 7, and since that's as far as anyone's signed for, make that the final season. I love the show, and I wish it could run forever. However, I think it'd be great if ZB came back for one more, and they were able to properly finish off the story and show. Regardless, this show's pretty well set, since they're now in syndication. And with the exception of this show, and a couple of others, I live off syndication. So I'm happy it ended up making the "big time" this fall.
  6. I've heard conflicting reports what happens after this year. Basically everyone is signed on for 7 seasons (this is the start of the 6th), except for Zach Braff. He's still undecided on what he'll be doing, and I guess he has until March to decide. I personally think the show's got to be killed without the main character; however, there's talk of the show continuing on with a new person as the lead (maybe Turk).
  7. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 30, 2006 -> 01:36 PM) NBC gave you a show?!?!? NO WAY! I believe it's 30 Rock. Earl Office Scrubs 30 Rock I've yet to see that show, I may give it a try tonight.
  8. It's supposed to snow here tomorrow. And I agree with Rock, that's the one thing I hate about living in the Midwest. I absolutely hate winter, but I don't know if I see myself living elsewhere.
  9. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2681154 William Self signed a 5-year extension with KU.
  10. I must have not seen this since I was home the time this thread started, but I'm super pumped for tonight. Scrubs is easily the best show on TV.
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 29, 2006 -> 11:46 PM) well even on the bench he is probably the best basketball player in the building. With Oden expect 10 less points from UNC and 10 more for OSU, he is THAT good. I get it. But no matter who you're rooting for, that line gets old when they say it 39083298329839839 times during the game. You can't deny that. You don't know how sick I am about hearing that Assembly Hall should be named Robert Montgomery Knight Hall every game. Just because Vitale has the brain of a goldfish, doesn't mean the viewers do.
  12. ESPN does not know how to not run s*** into the ground. Please mention Greg Oden every 30 seconds, please.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Nov 29, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) Sweet. I hope they get most-to-all of the N64 games on there eventually. I think that was the best 'friends' system. So many great games... Mario Kart, the whole wrestling series, Mario Party. And most importantly, Goldeneye.

    Wii

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Nov 29, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) So, you can play Gamecube games on the Wii? Am I understanding that correctly? Also, you can download games from old Nintendo onto the Wii? What about N64 games? (Sorry for all the questions) Yes to every question but the N64 one. That one I'm not sure about.
  15. QUOTE(southsida86 @ Nov 29, 2006 -> 04:16 PM) can you listen to the show without having an ipod? Yep. Just click on the link, and it will begin to stream.
  16. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Nov 29, 2006 -> 12:43 PM) I've got a question for the board...if anyone read Greg Couch's article in the Sun-Times today, and if you haven't, it basically has Bruce Weber saying you need a team of good players with one or two big recruits to get you to the Final Four, I was wondering, does recruiting in basketball work like football at all? In other words, in football, there are recruiting specialists...someone who may coach a position, but who's job it is to recruit the big names. Sometimes, like in Illinois' football case, that is the head coach, but not always. Obviously, each coach has in-roads at certain places, for instance, Wayne McClain and Peoria and Jimmy Collins with the CPS. I guess my question is, since Weber doesn't seem to have the recruiting bone like Bill Self has, would it make sense to hire an assistant that does? Does that happen? I feel more recruiting is done by the head coach in basketball, but it can vary. I know that Davis' initial job at IU was basically to be Knight's recruiting assistant at IU.
  17. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 29, 2006 -> 11:59 AM) All-time records for Big 12 teams at Hilton: Big 12: Kansas: 16-18 Texas: 2-5 Baylor: 0-6 Kansas State: 14-21 Colorado: 5-32 Missouri: 15-21 Nebraska: 15-20 Oklahoma: 15-15 Oklahoma State: 10-19 Texas A&M: 2-3 Texas Tech: 1-4 I'm not trying to prove anything other than I was curious. There's been some pretty s***ty/medicore ISU teams in there. Probably explains why it feels like we never beat Oklahoma...but I'm surprised that OU and Nebraska play as well as they do here. Colorado gets dominated. But, we've made good teams like Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma State, and the more recent Tech team look not so hot. So that's why you hate Sampson.
  18. QUOTE(T R U @ Nov 28, 2006 -> 11:28 PM) So I was 50% right, ill take that! You're no Kalapse. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 28, 2006 -> 11:28 PM) Are you by chance going to stay down their for the weekend to go to the game or are you just going to watch on tv? I'm honestly thinking of getting some tickets for that game, we'll see though. I'm still not sure honestly. Tix are still available, since it's not in the student package. So we're not going to have that big of a home court advantage. I have a final that Friday, so it wouldn't hurt me to stick around a couple more days. We'll see.
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 28, 2006 -> 11:25 PM) Indiana might want to clean up their game before they play my Dawgs in 3 weeks.
  20. QUOTE(T R U @ Nov 28, 2006 -> 09:11 PM) haha, Indiana is gonna get run out of the building QUOTE(T R U @ Nov 28, 2006 -> 11:21 PM) I did call an Indiana loss, thanks for the dap man Haha, you know as well as I do that's not the only thing your first post means. You were wrong, it was a game the whole way through.
  21. Wow, if we just made half of our free throws, we could've been all over this game.
  22. Ugliest ending ever, 54-51 Duke. I definitely wasn’t expecting much tonight, and the Hoosiers definitely made it interesting. I’ll more than take it, considering DJ played like absolute s*** and we were without Stemler (who’s been our best player early in the season). Great games for Bassett and Suhr, and the defense played strong all night. It should be a good building block for this team.
