QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 24, 2011 -> 10:26 AM) Let me put it this way. #1 Westbrook isn't even the most valuable player on his own team. #2 Take Rose off of the Bulls, and take Westbrook off of the Thunder, which team crashes more? #3 The Bulls are the #1 team in the East. OKC is 4th. #4 The system the Thunder run is much more friendly to individual stats, versus the system the Bulls run. #5 If stats are the big deal, then we shouldn't talk about either Rose or Westbrook, take it to its logical conclusion, and make someone like Kevin Love MVP, because his stats are awesomeness. Someone ate their Wheaties this morning. Good analysis, Mike.

I am impressed with Chris Webber as an analyst. I think he is one of the best in the business.

Rusty Klesla is a f***ing menace. Dude is a miserable hockey player. This is the second time he went knee to knee with one of our guys (Ruutu in 06). I hate him.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 9, 2011 -> 08:32 PM) Jesus step back from the ledge. It's an ankle injury (confirmed). 2 weeks maximum. Friedell says not broken, doesn't mean it is a sprain. . . could be ligament damage etc. . . definitely a good sign though.

what happened to boozer? I am following on gamecast.

More Kaner pictures appear on Deadspin. Deadspin Link We get it Patrick, you're full of "winning." Patrick Kane is drunk on the beverage "Patrick Kane." This could be fun . . .

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 25, 2011 -> 08:29 AM) Oh, and the moment where Rose was dribbling the ball, the crowd started chanting MVP, he let them do 2-3 rounds of it, stepped back and nailed a jumper just inside the 3 point arc with under a minute? Priceless. That sequence actually gave me goosebumps. Very, very cool.

10 boards in the 1st quarter. Wow.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 23, 2011 -> 03:09 PM) Dont trade Asik the guy has some pretty good defensive skills. My guess we shopped JJ as part of any potential deal. Teams said, "no thanks" and we are trying to spin that pick into Lee, Mayo etc. . . Mayo obviously has the most upside, but I don't know how I feel about him if he doesn't get the chance to handle the ball. Mayo definitely seems like he needs the ball is his hands to be a valuable offensive asset. DR1 does that for us. I think Lee is a better spot up shooter than Mayo, but as others have said in this thread, he is not a good defender.
-
Anyone have any thoughts on Courtney Lee? Reports are that the Bulls are interested. I actually like him better than Mayo. Mayo has more upside, but I think Lee fits better for what the Bulls are looking for.

The NBA should contract any and all teams in non-major markets. The inmates have spoken and won.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 16, 2011 -> 06:16 PM) Please don't f*** this up, Jets. I think that is the ballgame. 5 minutes, down 2 scores. Wow. I just hope the Jets can beat the Steelers. I hate the Steelers.
-
4 and 13. . . This down seems like it might be the game.

Pats running low on time. Need to score semi-soon.

Aaron Rodgers Snubs Cancer Patient (Deadspin). Aaron Rodger = Satan? Perhaps.

Brady just took a helmet to the inner part of his elbow. Not good.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 16, 2011 -> 05:20 PM) I would say that's a tough matchup, but at this stage there shouldn't be an easy matchup left. The reason why I say the Pats are such an awful matchup for the Bears is that the Bears' D is predicated on giving teams the short passing game, but making deep passes impossible, making run after the catch difficult, making running the ball difficult, and forcing a turnover or a bunch of punts because you can't keep competing short passes. The Patriots offense is predicated on killing you with the short passing game. If you can't slow that down for the Pats, they will destroy you. The Jets are having success today because their CB's are denying Welker and Branch the ball in the short passing game on the corners and because they're splitting up their safeties, with only one man deep but the other man shallow covering the area over the middle. That's the exact opposite of what the Bears want to do. The Steelers can run the ball and beat you up on defense...but they also rely on the deep passing game, esp. when Ben breaks tackles and the defense opens up. The Bears can win a game against that strategy. That doesn't mean they will, but they can. I think your analysis is pretty spot on here. I will take my chances against Big Ben and the Steelers run game than Brady and his slants over the middle and bubble screens.

Boozer to miss Monday's game against the Grizzlies. Per Nick Friedell.

Braylon Edwards with the stellar Pass Defensed.

Bad Challenge by BB. Patriots are off their game today. . . so far.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 16, 2011 -> 03:16 PM) Garza has always been good, and Forte's ypc skyrocketing when Williams moved inside wasn't a coincidence. Really the only big problem on the line is the tackles now. Mike Tice has turned the line from the absolute worst in the league to somewhere just south of average. That is probably the biggest reason why were going to the NFC title game. I am hesitant to say that we only need new tackles. I think Kruetz is on his last legs and probably below average and I don't really know what to think about Williams at guard.

up 25 with 2 mins to go. . . I'd like to see less of Peppers, Urlacher and Briggs.
