  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 29, 2011 -> 12:14 PM) That is kind of surprising. I thought he would at least stick on the roster, but he must have shown nothing in practice too. He received a $250,000 signing bonus, he must have shown absolutely nothing to warrant being released before final cuts. Although the team might have just wanted to allow him to find a new team ASAP. Still, he was bad.
  2. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Aug 29, 2011 -> 12:06 PM) bye bye Vernon Gholston too Dude showed nothing in the opportunities he got. Amobi Okoye, however, looks like he could be a starting DT by the end of the year. Has a great first step and has (i believe) 3 sacks in the preseason so far.
  3. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 28, 2011 -> 04:49 PM) Ozzie won't let that happen . Do you blame him? We really need to get Dunn out his slump and Rios is an established mlb player.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 28, 2011 -> 04:29 PM) And somehow the Captain gets another hit. His numbers may suggest otherwise, but this has been his most impressive season in my eyes. Paulie has done nothing but hit all year and even after the nagging knee injury.
  5. I heard Tank's HR on the radio. . . it sounded like someone set off an M-80 at the stadium. Immediately sounded like a HR.
  6. Jay Cutler's footwork and mechanics have gotten noticeably better since the end of last year. I am cautiously optimistic that he may have turned a corner in his career.
  7. Park Ridge Kid getting a game winner from a Chicago kid. Nope, that doesn't help. Ozzie is brutal.
  8. Holy s***, Frasor is a midget. Titty f***ing Tyler Flowers towers over him.
  9. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 23, 2011 -> 11:25 PM) Dude are you CRAZY!???!?!? HE IS DONE! HE FORGOT HOW TO HIT THE BALL HARD! If he ever hits 20 home-runs in a single season for the rest of his career I'd give YOU $100! HE IS DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /knee-jerk sarcasm I heard Adam Dunn's 0-2 swing actually attracts bears.
  10. QUOTE (scenario @ Aug 23, 2011 -> 10:20 PM) Hawk is clueless. That throw was too far to the right of the plate for Flowers to catch it and still tag Kendrick at home. This. I think if TF was back any further, he wouldn't have caught the ball before Kendrick reached the plate. The only thing that would have happened would have been a collision at the plate and a subsequent run scored. If Rios had some momentum going into that throw, Kendrick is out by 5 feet.
  11. I can find something better to do with 40 bucks.
  12. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 23, 2011 -> 12:52 PM) Ah the I dont have anything to add to the argument mentality Ah this place gives me a headache sometimes.
  13. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Aug 20, 2011 -> 05:28 PM) I love Jose. Sad to see him sans mustache though. No more Free Mustache Rides?
  14. QUOTE (whtsoxfan @ Aug 22, 2011 -> 09:18 PM) How about the White Sox?.....Dunn to DL? If he's going to be put on waivers....it would tell me that he's probably going to retire after the 2011 season. If so, Cleveland would be his most likely last stop w Philly second. Twins waive Thome; Sox could have interest Take this for what it is worth. I would love to see Jimbo back for a few games, but I hope he goes to a team with a legit chance of winning a title.
  15. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Aug 22, 2011 -> 07:50 PM) Our run defense seemingly stops it for a loss or gives up a good chunk of yards Looked like Melton and Wright both got beaten badly on that play. Not good.
  16. Offensive line playing pretty well tonight. I think Cutler has only been knocked down once in three series.
  17. BM is about to take a BM on Carmona's fastball.
  18. QUOTE (coco1997 @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 01:04 AM) GREAT job by Frasor/Crain. Not the Seattle radio psychiatrist, but the late inning White Sox bullpen tandem. This deserved some recognition. Nice wit you got there. Last night's game was pretty miserable to watch. I am glad we won (pleased even) but its hard to get excited about this team when you see the glaring weaknesses on a consistent basis. Really happy for Lucky Pierre, didn't think he'd have a job at this point. He's proved myself and countless others wrong.
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 12:04 AM) We coddle them and continue to expose them to more humiliation and booing. Speaking of which, is there anyway we can get Dunn in there to give up the game winning run tonight? I think it would be high comedy to watch Dunn give up a HR on a 55 mph heater.
