  1. Sad day for NFC North teams, unless the Lions hire Matt Millen's retarded cousin... they will become a more successful team. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3606294
  2. It depends on where you get placed... some of the schools are pretty brutal to work for (not good to the kids). I have had a lot of friends enter the program, and hate it. They told me a lot of what they did was test prep, and not really teaching. They also said that their contacts/recruiters treated them poorly after they were on the job. this is all fwiw.

  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 20, 2008 -> 08:24 PM) Any chance they are firing Hawk in the off season and not bringing it up until then? we're not that lucky
  5. those two runs last inning loom large right about now.
  6. I have a sneaking suspicion that Richard may get lit up tonight.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 08:42 AM) That would kill two birds with one Chone for sure. That was a clunker. we all know that Chone is pronounced like Shawn, what a jerk you are!
  8. I'm actually surprised that 2 people said that 9/11 isn't meaningful to them. It still feels like an open wound to some degree... Anyways,

    QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 02:58 PM) Where is this mystical part of Mexico that is filled with super hot horny women all the time, oh and jet skis. Everytime I go to mexico all I see is dudes selling silver crap, fat tourists getting their hair braided, and knock off american food disguised by a mexican name. Why have turtle with his shirt off? Honestly... what did that prove?
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 12:04 PM) I would bet money that the PRNK army would desert quicker than Saddams army did in Gulf War. They are hungry, scared, and ignorant of the world around them. Especially after they got into SK and saw that life didn't have to be a day to day bet, they would be gone in heartbeat. Mike, I think you are technically a member of the PRNK army... you do own socks, shoes, and have various stones to throw at invaders correct?
  11. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 12:13 PM) It was...inewitablre.... what was that?
  12. QUOTE (Texsox @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 12:33 PM) If you need a D or R to decide if something is right or wrong, you are probably too partisan. I don't venture over this way often, but I couldn't help but respond to this post. I know being an independent is often scoffed at in the same way that fans of both the cubs and the sox are... but I think partisanship has gotten way out of control in this country, the media included. I was watching CNN one night after RNC (supposedly the balance between MSNBC and FOXNEWS) and I was just floored with the amount of criticism the republicans received as opposed to the dems after the DNC. The reality of the situation is that we have a broken government, where the lobbyists run washington. Both candidates receive large contributions from special interests and thats the kind of news that should be reported! Yikes.
  13. DAMN YOU, SS you beat me to making this thread by like 3 hours! As soon as I read this story I was all like "Kim Jong Il, Ill? and of course I meander my way over to soxtalk to like, I dunno totally go apes*** on the board and make people laugh... but alas I was beaten to the punch. It will be interesting to see how PRNK plays this, and as stated previously... you have to wonder who controlling the country while Kim Jong is sick. This country has the largest standing military in the world (if you include pebble throwing men, women, and children) and all we need is some goofy bastard to get any ideas.
  14. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 7, 2008 -> 01:04 PM) New York Jets - AFC East Champs green really? If Brady is hurt, do you think the Pats can win the division with Matt Cassell? I'd pick the Jets.
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 7, 2008 -> 03:58 PM) Turner making us NIU alum proud today! Oh, and he's on all three of my fantasy teams... three teams? you glutton!
  16. I hope this game gets to Griffey, I have a feelin about him in this spot.
  17. Hawk: Fiesty did I ever tell you about the time Yaz and I double teamed a Filipino call girl? I wish I had the eye sight of this umpire, that way I wouldn't have had to see Yaz dookie in her mouth. DJ: He didn't Hawk: He did.
  18. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 7, 2008 -> 02:27 PM) As he gets older, he is becoming Santo with legs. :lolhitting :lolhitting :lolhitting :lolhitting
  19. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Sep 7, 2008 -> 02:25 PM) I'm watching the game on Angels broadcast and they think JD made the right play because if he let's that ball drop and the batter then comes back to hit a single and score 2 runs instead,they think it shows that it means you believe in your offense with all that power...Angel announcers keep harping on the belief that the sox can score runs in a hurry with the long ball,they are impressed with our power up and down our lineup. I would say it was the "sound" baseball move, its like taking points off the board in football... but our team isn't exactly consistent and this Angels bullpen is pretty solid. Its a damned if you do, damned if you don't move... I didn't think we were going to strike against this bullpen twice in two days, so I would have taken my chances. I'm not angry with the decision Jermaine made
