  1. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 01:42 PM) danks is getting hit hard somewhat today, #s aside it's probably not the best thing to judge this type of thing on, but I've watched a few of John Danks games on the internet, and his pitches have been consistently down in the zone or out of the zone, but today he seems to be pitching up more.
  2. excellent, he WP'd the runners to 2nd and 3rd, but got the out. 1-0 Sox heading to bottom of 3
  3. is Punto not on the Twins? Not playing and not on the bench section on the CBS Gamecast. That guy is new Lew Ford against the Sox
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 01:35 PM) Just noticed Ramirez is batting 2nd. I like the move. he batted at least once before in 2nd when Toby was catching. They have some options, either him or Swisher. Swisher is starting to hit better, but Alexei has been redhot
  5. oops, GIDP by Crede, I guess I'll let him slide...... this time
  6. it has been so nice to see this team take pitches back up the middle or oppo
  7. QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 01:32 PM) I still dont think Thome has touched home yet...Mauer got him was he called safe by the ump or do we have an Alexei situation upcoming?
  8. excellent JD, let's bat this guy around a little
  9. double for thome on 0-2, looked like they were blowing FBs by him but left the 0-2 FB low
  10. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 01:24 PM) That's big, since he probably threw around 25 in the 1st only 18, the pickoff saved a batter in that inning, now has 25 for the game
  11. 1-2-3 in the 1st. Is the first time Sox are seeing Perkins?
  12. seems like Perkins doesn't walk a ton of people, but gives up a lot of hits.
  13. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 01:15 PM) ive stopped listening to the people that doubt their drafts...they took revere last year like 2 rounds ahead of where anyone had him going, and he hit like .340 albeit in rookie ball but still Yeah, I think we've seen firsthand those mofos can develop players. Mauer is one hell of a player. Is there any talk of taking him from behind the plate? It probably is too early in his career for that though.
  14. excellent, pickoff and a flyout, good job pitching over that leadoff BB
  15. this is a total hindsight 20/20 thing, and not original, but the Twins and MLB got killed that the Twins were forced to pick Mauer over Prior in the draft because of $$, damn, worked out well
  16. Mauer is raking against lefties, only 60 ABs, but .367 BA and his 2 HRs are against lefties
  17. OK, fell behind 2-0, but got a pop up, 1 out runner on 1st
  18. TV should have started, anyone watching? If so, tarp on field or any info?
  19. they mean very little to me. I have a job where I speak a lot and it happens to me, and the canditates speak a ton more than I do.
