  1. these day games absolutely kill my productivity... I better have EVERYTHING I need done this week finished before first pitch tomorrow
  2. excellent inning to tie that game up. I hope Ozzie has Massett on the standby in case Gavin just doesn't have it today
  3. great response by the team. I don't see that happening last year!
  4. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 12:39 PM) Alexei is such a good hitter. he doesn't draw a ton of walks, but he does do a decent job of taking pitches and getting into a hitters count, he has really impressed me
  5. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 12:37 PM) he's ridiculous he's been so bad on balls to the outfield this year I'm wondering if he's really having trouble seeing
  6. allright, that's one back, chip away and get to the pen
  7. my guess is he'll end up being OK for the long run this season. I think the MRI will show nothing they'll skip 2-3 starts and he'll come back fine. Nothing to really base this on, just a gut feeling.
  8. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 09:01 AM) I'm a huge fan of Swish and I would take him over Johnson, but not because of the numbers argument....I mean Swish has 14 games and 58AB's on Johnson...he should have overall better numbers, with the exception of avg and that's where Swish is behind 40 points. Not for long though...Swish has found his groove. http://www.baseball-reference.com/j/johnsre02.shtml http://www.baseball-reference.com/s/swishni01.shtml The Swisher/Johnson one is the one I have a huge problem with. Even after his horrible start Nick's OPS+ is 97 and Johnson's this year is 89
  9. Ultimate Fighter show tonight was awesome, well worth catching the replay
  10. http://www.f4wonline.com/content/view/5710/105/ One of the Fertitta brothers who are the main owners of the UFC quit his post at Station Casinos to work with the UFC full time. Last year he made over 100 million in his position at the casino, while he'll still get a good cut of Station's money since it's a family owned business, that shows you what potential money there may be in MMA. Looking to expand more internationally and get more major sponsors, pure speculation from me, but I bet he works hard on a network tv deal as well
  11. as an MMA fan it's a sweet deal. I will watch the Affliciton PPV at my friends house and TiVo the UFC card. Silva at 205 will be interesting. From my understanding he just won't cut weight since he basically is around 205. Interesting thing will be his cardio. ramping up his cardio for fight purposes probably makes him cut some weight naturally, so I wouldn't be suprised if he came in around 195-200.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 16, 2008 -> 03:14 PM) They just interviewed him on MJH. I love that man. anything good from the interview? I was curious why he stuck around with the Wolves when I heard he was offered a few NHL jobs. I always assumed he was going to get another major PBP job in Chicago, but never really happened. Did he discuss?
  13. i think Tiger takes any drama out of the situation right here and nails this putt
