  1. awesome. 2 out of 3 against the 1st place team. They're going to miss the King in Seattle since he is pitching tonight and miss Bedard too since he went yesterday. Need to take advantage of schedule breaks like that
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 8, 2008 -> 04:13 PM) He hasn't trusted the fastball all year, and i'm more concerned with his lack of trusting the fastball than I am the velocity of the fastball itself, if that makes sense. totally makes sense, if used right with his other pitches, velocity of 93-94 should be plenty.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ May 8, 2008 -> 04:11 PM) Masset pitched last night and looked bad. Why would you put your worst reliever into a 4 run ball game? Thanks, I watched something else after MB was pulled
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2008 -> 04:09 PM) No reason to put Bobby in today...Who hasn't worked lately? When's the last time the lefties pitched? I'm kind of torn on that too. The Sox have a crazy streak with no days off and heading to the West Coast of Doom, but they really need this game. As awful as they have looked the last week and a half, they can be one game out of first with this win. Massett hasn't worked in awhile
  5. OK Bobby, don't make this interesting please!
  6. 2 insurance runs, good. Good to see the Sox getting some cheap runs
  7. did Uribe take out the guy at second?
  8. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 8, 2008 -> 03:02 PM) If Crede was not held on how did he not get to second? Was he held on? Uribe a walk. Pinch hit for Ramirez has HE f***ING BETTER TAKE AT LEAST TWO STRIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I thought Ramirez was up hit AJ!!!!!! No, Toby will jack one here, so A-Ram will bat!!
  9. Bases loaded, one out. Juan with the BB. This is where a solid bat off the bench would be great
  10. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 8, 2008 -> 03:01 PM) uribe better take or crush the third pitch here he took it!! Although looks like he would have needed a pitching wedge to hit it!
  11. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 8, 2008 -> 02:59 PM) As severe as you guys are making it appear, hopefully this isnt career ending or altering for him Yeah, that sounds bad, hope it isn't career ending/altering
  12. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 8, 2008 -> 02:53 PM) Neshak injury sounds serious. was it hit back at him or did a pitch pop something?
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 8, 2008 -> 02:48 PM) When you have three lefties that can all hit (especially the first two) all face a righty reliever in the 8th inning, it's bad managing. I'm VERY happy we got away with it though. the best thing to happen to the Sox during the '05 run was the dominating SP in the ALCS. Took the Ozzie bullpen factor out of it
  14. Linebrink seemed up in the zone today, but hey, at this point I'm happy he got out if it unscathed
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 8, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) Good catch by Toby after he started to stumble. Morneau had 5 meatballs to hit that at bat. Since Linebrink throws a sinking type pitch, is he one of those who are better off getting work because if they are too rested their stuff straightens?
  16. I've seen this AB before, he'll get to pitch 8-9 and cream one
  17. don't get me wrong, Linebrink has been fine this year, but with those two guys coming up, you have to but Thorton or Boone in
  18. wow, a lead-off walk, is Stone and Farmer just laying into Linebrink being out there?
  19. well, lol, it's linebrink... what are these guys splits?
