  1. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 7, 2008 -> 10:14 AM) 16-20 is not historical. Using that argument, Illinois is historically Republican. But I dont seem IL going for McCain. Have there been polls in IL for an Obama/McCain election? I would love to see those early potential numbers. Wouldn't that be a major bullet in Obama's gun against Hill's "unelectable" platform if Obama can pull a major state that is historically republican?
  2. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 7, 2008 -> 10:11 AM) and combine that with an undeclared super this morning saying on MSNBC that for most of the supers, "yesterday answered a lot of questions" I think there might have to be some strategy sessions for the super delegates and other dem party before there is a party line asking her to quit. No matter how you cut it, likely Bill and Hillary are going to be around and powerful Dems for many years. There are people in the party who likely don't want to be the fall person for leading the charge against her.
  3. CONGRESSIONAL SOURCE: Hillary having trouble finding superdelegates who will meet with her... 'No one wants to see her today'... Developing... from drudge... ouch!! (No link or further details, just the headline)
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 7, 2008 -> 09:15 AM) I couldn't believe he was saying that Lake County looked "corrupt" because the votes had not come in. How could a Mayor actually say that on CNN? Yeah it was unreal, I caught it halfway into it and was shocked when Blitzer said he was the mayor of Hammond. Who knows, he is a Hillary supporter and I don't think yesterday went how they planned and it kind of rattled a lot of them.
  5. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ May 6, 2008 -> 11:43 PM) Did anyone see the two throws Rick Ankiel made tonight? the second one from the warning track is insane
  6. I happened to be in D.C. for a college trip to the holocaust museum during G. W. Bush's inauguration . Our class took the time to attend the inuguration and everyone there, be it Dem or Rep, was glad we did. It really was a unique experience.
  7. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 7, 2008 -> 07:47 AM) Wow how do you get swept in a DH when your pitching staff gives up a combined 3 hits? I think the major league team could have given that a run for its money on the last road trip
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 7, 2008 -> 08:02 AM) FL and MI are almost, if not already, irrelevant. oh we know that, but Hillary has very few straws to grasp at and anything she can through at the wall will have to be thrown. Her main argument can only be "electability" with the super delegates, so she'll hammer that in her conference call
  9. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 7, 2008 -> 08:56 AM) Clinton to hold a conference call shortly on "the state of the race" We'll know what is going to unfold in the next few weeks shorty. I predict "we're pressing on" that's what I see too, with a major spin on Indiana being close to Obama's home base and how she won it. Also, she probably will start severly pressing the Michigan and Florida issue, in any pipe dream scenario she has they have to play into it
  10. cnn and drudge are reporting that Hill made a 6.4 million dollar loan to her campaign the last month. Last night could not help any fundraising efforts, if she stays in this she is going to bleed a ton of money
  11. OK, good response last night, hopefully JD's hit with 2 outs took some pressure off and the offense starts rolling a little. even though the weather is kind of crappy now, weather.com had only 20% chance of rain for the game
  12. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ May 7, 2008 -> 07:11 AM) I don't think the email was bad, but I thought her speech was terrible last night, and she looked and sounded defeated. Yeah, I watched her speech last night and it seemed she wasn't quite sure what to say. From what I could read they really thought they had a shot at winning Indiana easily and having a great showing in NC. It seems that she was rattled a little
  13. Hillary plans to huddle with undecided super delegates tomorrow; gauging if she can go on... Developing... Take that FWIW, that's on Drudge
  14. Brian, I don't know a ton about the process, but this had to be a giant night for Obama. Hillary is going to have a difficult time to realistically spin this any positive way. She's going to have trouble fund raising again after tonight
  15. OK, let this be the turn around game for the Sox... win this series!!!
  16. Awesome job Gavin. the starting pitching has been vicious all year...
  17. Doesn't Hillary take a huge fund raising hit after tonight? She gets smoked in NC and now, even if Obama doesn't win Ind., Lake County will give him an excellent showing. Any momentum she had after PA seems to be gone
  18. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 6, 2008 -> 03:54 PM) MSNBC is reporting that there has been a HUGE turn out in HEAVY (75% republican) republican districts. So huge the turn out is bigger than in the 2004 presidential election! No one is really sure how this will work it self out. Might be centrist republicans going to Obama. Could be far right trying to keep "Rev. Wright" out of the White House. no one is sure yet. I assume this means Indiana? As to your other post, if he pulls ahead in the popular vote with Fla and Mich counted, it would be really difficult for Hillary to put any sort of positive spin on that since his name wasn't on the ballott in one and he did zero to little campaigning in the other
  19. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 6, 2008 -> 03:31 PM) The road just got a LOT steeper for her though. She'll need something like 80% of the remaining pledged delegates (not including FL and MI) to win the pledged delegate count. Yeah, I just looked around and saw NC has over a 100 delegates (115?) and Indiana has about 70 (72?). I know NC isn't winner take all and assume Indiana isn't either. So Hill's argument of Obama losing momentum or losing the "bigger" states wouldn't be able to be used if she wins Ind. by a small margin (say 5-8%) while Obama blows out NC
  20. I'm not expecting much other than KW and Ozzie to take shots at the fans and then say how they can't believe this lineup isn't hitting... oh and talk about how awesome Walker is
  21. So they will split the states tonight and each have enough spin to make this last longer. Likely nothing settled tonight.... again
  22. http://www.drudgereport.com/ drudge now saying polls show "easy" Obama win in NC. No numbers or link, just the headline
  23. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 6, 2008 -> 09:59 AM) How does a woman get any satisfaction out of that? I don't think this is equal opportunity. That's just a tranny trying to look like a guy. OBVIOUSLY. Yeah... those probably aren't made with women in mind as the primary buyer....
  24. I am a procrastinator too, but I do something that seems to help. All I do is set my own deadlines. I'm hard enough on myself to stick to those. So say I have something do in 30 days, I will write in my calendar for 15 days that a draft has to be done, etc... It has worked well for me.
