  1. Yankees have to be thrilled, Phil Hughes has a real good chance of magically "finding" it tomorrow
  2. unreal, after being very optomistic about this team to this point these two games have really turned me around. The Yankees are not that great of a team, especially without A-Rod. This is horrible
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 08:50 PM) I doubt Joba goes after pitching 1.2 innings last night. true, so maybe there's a ray of hope
  4. realistically they have 2 innings left to do anything, because I imagine Joba is available and Rivera obviously should be
  5. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 11:12 AM) I've just never seen a movie that had so many different characters make me laugh so f***in hard outloud. All the main characters have their own parts that crack you up. But Leslie Mann as the drunk who pukes on Andy cracked me up...The Boss lady cracked me up. Mooj and Haziz, the worker peeps are hysterical. The little hard ass dude that comes in to the store and f***s with Jay. Beth at the book store. The Jew fro kid at the sex ed thing....Jonah hill buying the boots....I can go on and on.....there are just so many people that make you laugh out loud it's insane. If this was top comedy it may not have been my #1, but as far as funniest....I can't remember laughing that hard, while not under the influence, at anything in my life. My friends and I love to say "f'n french toast" when we're hungry, it cracks us up everytime
  6. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 02:45 PM) the entire scene at the baseball game is 20 minutes of continual laughing for me.... boo to wedding crashers...overrated IMO I love the blooper reel they run. When the big cat comes and mauls the guy or the car runs over the player, I laugh out loud every time. I'm with you on wedding crashers, it was good when I first saw it, but for me it didn't hold up.
  7. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 01:12 PM) 104 games over That's pretty damn impressive actually Yeah, I'm not slamming Mussina over his career, he's been a very good pitcher, but those days are behind him, he has struggled this year
  8. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 01:19 PM) 3 IP, 7 H, 5 ER, 0 BB, 1 K vs BOS on the 17th lol, ok, I guess not!! Good to see, more reason that he shouldn't magically find it tonight!
  9. Nice, The Naked Gun cracks me up to this day and I've seen it countless times
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 12:59 PM) I figure Wang is their ace and Count is our #5 starter, so last night is more tolerable. I think we'll hammer Mussina tonight. that's how I'm trying to sell it to myself, but yesterday was a bit of a gut punch game, I am really looking forward to see how they look tonight. Hughes and Mussina have been bad this year (although I believe Mussina pitched OK in his last outing). I don't want to hear how they magically "found it" against the Sox. Hawk would use the "You're not (insert # of games Mussina is over .500 here) games over .500 in your career for nothing" as the Sox are flailing away at pitches a foot out of the zone
  11. Interesting to see it after hearing it live. Artie was way out of control. It will happen again if he doesn't stick with the professional help he says he's getting now. I have tickets to see him in June, hopefully he'll talk about it. I did snicker at Baba Booey, he looked scared s***less when he was in that doorway, he almost took like a karate pose. Artie also looks like former WWE jobber the Brooklyn Brawler, especially with the Yankee shirt
  12. I heard his fastball is so low now, around 82-85, that his changeup doesn't have any effect. Basically he's just a two-pitch pitcher and there's enough difference between the 2 pitches that if fools no one.
  13. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 10:11 PM) I've seen that. Nothing EVER happens. Bride of the Monster and Plan 9 are watchable for their schlock brilliance. The Ed Wood film that had me mesmerized when i saw it was Orgy of the Dead. made in the 60s. It was basically a bunch of strippers dressed up in devil costumes and jungle queen wardrobes and doing their normal stripper routine while a becaped Crisswell (the psychic guy played by Bill Murry in the Burton film) watched on in mild bemusement from a throne. Has to be seen to be believed. Oh man, I forgot about Orgy of the Dead. Let's not confuse people, these aren't modern day Las Vegas strippers. These are some rough ladies. Also, don't forget the awesome banter between, if I remember correctly, the Wolfman and the Mummy. Crisswell's classic line "Throw gold at her! MORE GOLD!" I've only seen it on MST3K, but "Manos, the Hands of Fate" is God awful
  14. I believe the walk to Ensberg to start the 7th was the first walk he took this year... and it happened on 4 pitches
  15. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 09:02 PM) F that.. hope hes gone within the next months unfortunately I don't see that. They'll let him stick around
  16. with Juan's approach at the plate he should have had the take sign until he had 2 strikes on him, he wasn't going to hit Joba
