  1. Darin Erstad is to the Sox what Neifi Perez was to the Cubs. Blocking a younger player, doesn't walk much, hits a lot of ground balls, no power and the GM and manager can't get enough of him. :puke
  2. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 03:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The day before the game and the built-in excuse has already begun... What excuse? I'm looking for predictions. Tell me right now why Erstad should be playing over Anderson.
  3. what should we expect from Anderson tomorrow? He barely plays and has to face CC.
  4. What a blast by Erstad. He actually got it out of the infield.
  5. Please do something here Darin. PLEASE. I'm sure a poor soul from the make a wish foundation would have the same effect if he came to the White Sox asking for a win. He'd be a lot cheaper and make fewer outs too.
  6. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 02:44 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think I'm going to see that in another hour in honor of Erstad.
  7. Clutch my ass. 2006 was a fluke for Crede and it still wasn't that good.
  8. What exactly was Erstad "selling" as he was tip-toeing on the track? There were two outs.
  9. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:54 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> IF we resign Dye, we might consider leaving him of the roster until July. His start this year reminds me of how he started 2005. He looks like he is only swinging hard just in case he runs into one. Oh please. Dye had one bad month in 2005.
  10. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:43 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Danks. 5.1 IP 7 H 2 R 2 ER 1 BB 4 SO Res. for runners on first and second (3.97 era for now) ....and people want to kick his ass to the curb and send him to AAA.
  11. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:36 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> People actually want to re-sign Crede? Seriously? I really wish we moved him in the offseason.
  12. I wish the Sox would drop Crede in the order. Why not ride the hot hand put Uribe there? How about putting Uribe back in the two spot?
  13. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ya Rock, I just don't get it....why change what works... "But back in 2000, grindErstad was a pretty solid #2 guy!!" In 2000 Erstad was a leadoff hitter. Historically he's better in the leadoff spot instead of the #2 spot. I wonder if KW will DFA grinderstad's ass if he's playing like this in June. It seems like every summer the Sox DFA someone.
  14. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Byrd is the only pitcher who beat the White Sox in the 2005 playoffs. The Sox also beat Byrd in the playoffs as well.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 12:44 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have no clue how we've won 4 out of 6 games. Pitching. ...and I can't be the only one who noticed SSI71 and fathom showing up after the home runs.
  16. QUOTE(letsgoarow @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 10:32 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As for "old man" Erstad. He doesnt seem to old to me. He is leading the team in stolen bases, but whos counting anyway. Also leading the team in sacrifice's. I do understand how you guys have said he isnt a great defensive player though. His zero errors are just killing us out there, if he makes any more he should be fired. Is that enough sarcasm for you?? LOL. Leads the team in stolen bases and sacrifices. First off there are two guys on the team with 3 stolen bases. Everyone else is tied for zero. Hell, nobody else has even attempted a stolen base. Grinderestad has a whopping TWO sacrifices, and everyone else is tied with zero. Why don't you look at more important offensive stats? .207/.294/.310 is a lot more telling to me.
  17. Say, what happened the last time Freddy pitched in Houston?
  18. QUOTE(shoota @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 09:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've been happy with our team's play, and I'm surprised to find we're in 4th place. Feels like we should be higher. Welcome to the new AL Central. This is why this interdivision matchups are so important to win.
  19. QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 09:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uh....Anderson is the better CF, but if *you* honestly think he is at all worth anything on offense, I question *your* knowledge of baseball/2006 have you bothered looking at Erstad's numbers lately? He sucks. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 09:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wonder if Ozzie just told him to stay in Chicago. Brian is probably wandering around Miller Park right now. Guillen told him that's where the sox would be playing the Indians this weekend.
  20. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 09:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> listening to everyone round here you'd think that brian anderson is the second coming of hank aaron. If you honestly don't think Anderson can out play Erstad and Pods defensively, and/or don't think Anderson can match Erstad's offensive ability, I really have to question your knowledge of baseball.
  21. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ Apr 12, 2007 -> 11:04 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It stopped being a rivalry to me on the night of October 26, 2005. I don't think the rivalry ended that night, it just completely changed. Cub fans went from being snobs caring more about their ballpark over what happens on the field to panicking of losing the city;s grip and being jealous and bitter of our World title. we'll see how things change more when the Sox keep having 90 win seasons and the Cubs reach their centennial.
  22. Hmm. Halladay with another 10 inning CG against the Tigers. Only two k's though.
