White Sox vs. A's, 4/09/07 (W)
Any ideas who the umps are for this series. I'm hoping we don't see Froemming, CB Bucknor, Angel Hernandez, or Hunter Wendelstedt.

White Sox vs. Twins, 4/7/07 (W)
They really need to make the ground rule double a judgement call. I'd like to see what the percentages are for runners scoring from first on doubles depending on the number of outs in the inning.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 7, 2007 -> 04:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Most impressive thing of the start was I didn't see anyone spell Vazquez wrong in this thread. It's mostly the complainers that spell it wrong. Hard to b**** about Javy's game today. I wish we would knock Silva around a little bit more. HE GONE!!!!

This ump sucks. Why is Morneau's strike zone so small?

Todays game
QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 07:15 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly my point. We have "quiet" leaders. And... ....and that's why our starting pitching sucks? Because we don't have a male cheerleader? Will you ever get over the loss of Rowand?

Todays game
Thornton inherited 48 runners and allowed 13 to score last year. Just for reference, Scot Shields 32/10 Juan Rincon 29/9 Fernando Rodney 23/10 Thornton is pretty good, blame someone else.

With the location of where it landed and how he reacted, that Sizemore Hr reminded me of game 2 of the 2005 WS

McCarthy's first outing for TEX
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 05:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Now, lets see whether Danks matches that. Time to update the McCarthy/Danks watch. Your sig is misleading by saying 3 runs (2 UER.) That means he has given up 1 ER. ...and are you not keeping track of K's now?

White Sox vs. Indians, 4/4/07 (L)
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 05:06 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uribe was 2/4 Monday, 0/3 today. You're already whining about an upgrade? Pods was bad today. Can you atleast give him a week before you start crying that we should've signed Pierre or Gary Matthews Jr.? What's even funnier is that fathom was trying to blow steam up everyone's butts last September by making comments like "say hello to our new LF Juan Pierre" after Pods would do something bad. Now he likes him. Fathom, do you still think Garland is the most underrated Sox player and that Aardsma sucks and has no hope?

QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 04:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> boy, I hate to make a snap judgment 2 games into the season, but this is just the same old story. It seems they are swinging for the fences, can't get clutch outs in pitching, can't execute... basically they just seem lifeless out there. we scored 7 runs today, 5 on home runs. Quit blaming the offense.

Grinderstad is making 750K this year Darin Erstad-OF- White Sox Jan. 25 - 1:38 pm et Darin Erstad will be guaranteed $1 million under the terms of his deal with the White Sox. He'll make $750,000 this year. The club option for 2008 will be worth $3.5 million and could increase to as much as $6 million if he gets 600 plate appearances this season. A $250,000 buyout is included.

Opening Day Notes
QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Apr 1, 2007 -> 09:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whoa, back up. Konerko stole a base? What happened, did a sniper take out the KC shortstop before their catcher could get rid of the ball? even worse was the fact that the pitch right before it was fouled off and Konerko was running. It was so obvious and KC still couldn't do anything. Of course Beltran got the final laugh with Marte and Botch pouring the gas on the fire.

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 1, 2007 -> 08:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cena should win only to have Mr . Kennedy cash in. How's that for going over? That's stupid. Every competitor should sell a ladder match like he nearly died. He shouldn't be healthy enough to wrestle another big match for at least two weeks to sell the effects of how devestating the match was.
